He steps back as the cat pounces, bringing up his hands, ready to fight the cat if it attacks. “Why would she free such a sexist cat? I think I might have left you there myself, but no matter. I can see speaking with you is a waste of my time.” His eyes narrow again, “What proof do you have that you aren’t some kind of evil spirit hurting this girl right now? I don’t know what will help her abilities, or energy, but I know what will help a human woman, what do you know?” His warm gray eyes stare at the cat, watching it’s every move and calculating what would be best in this strange situation.
Soon after the cat responds they both hear a rustling and voices outside. He smiles and says, “That must be my men looking for me. He walks to the door and opens it, but not two seconds later he ducks back in and takes cover on the side of the door frame as he closes the door. “Shoot, shoot, shoot!” There’s enemy soldiers out there looking for me!” If the cat were to look outside, it would recognize some of the male villagers in armor with torches on fire walking up to the house.
