[Pathfinder] Rise of the Catgirls
« on: November 02, 2012, 09:20:40 PM »
NicciKotor's managed to rope me into another Pathfinder game, and we could use another player or two.

I haven't had time to figure out much about the plot, but it'll somehow involve a large group of catgirls trying to take over the world.

Starting level and whatnot still to be determined.

Its been a while sense I played a D&D game, and the concept of groups of cat girls trying to take over the world peaks my interest.

We were talking about this earlier and how it would be a post war campaign of survival and desperation for the remaining races against the catfolk horde.

Ay, An army of sexy catfolk... Well, it sounds perilous.

Well, I guess I'll face Peril.

If were facing hordes after a post apocalypse, I think somewhere around levels 6-11

You don't want it too high, less the DM gets burned out trying to keep everything together. Levels 4-6 is more then good enough to survive a war and be busy retreating our asses off and getting into trouble as a result.

I will say though, I'm not fond of submissive males when it comes to sex and such.  If you want to end up dominated by catgirls, I suggest playing a female.

Well, i'm a switch that could play either, and I do enjoy both Dom and Sub, but what am I craving right now, and more over which one do I want for this.  This will require some thought.

Well, I'm fine with having my characters be dominated by either sex.  Also, if you guys want to do a scene between PCs without me I'm fine with you doing anything.

As it's been asked... Hello Mr. Muse... Is there room for another player and are the PC's catgirls, or are they running from cat-girls?

I think four sounds like a good number for this, personally.  Nicci's got a spot for sure, and I'm saving another for a friend of ours, so that means two more slots for you guys to fight over.

For stats, I'm thinking like starting level 4, level-appropriate gold.  Stats are 4d6 drop lowest.

As I have no idea how we would "fight" over the 2 slots, and there are 4 showing interest... someone else will have to decide who goes and who stays. I know Muse is a good writer, and consider myself to be one but that really doesn't mean much in this situation, does it?

How shall we narrow the field? High card? Russian Rullet? Best 2 out of 3 at tiddliwinks? Bad jokes?

Or, a random D20 on the evil dicebot and the top 2 take the gold? (for your information, this is almost a sure out for me, the thing hates me)

Dance fight, obviously. How you didn't know that shows a complete disregard of the younger generation when it comes to proper argument settlement.

That would make sense... half of the college students in the country weren't even born when I graduated from college. lol

Now, if the Achy Breaky is still an option... or boot skoot... I might stand a chance... ;)

As amusing as a dance contest would be, I'll just say that it's my decision based on who I think would fit in best.  Which means, go ahead and start making characters.  You don't have to flesh them out fully, but at least class, race, and a brief introduction.

Right now I only see Muse, Blinkin, and Who posting here with any regularity, so the last two slots will be between you three.  Beyond that, I'm closing this to new players for now (aside from Laughing Hyena, who I'm saving a slot for if he decides to join).

This strikes me as a good solution:

Do we have any concepts yet?

My first choice would be either an oracle of flame or a barbarian who specializes in super strength.  :)

The oracle woudl be ana daptation of this concept:
Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
Some years ago, a little girl showed up at the temple of Calistria and attached herself to a senior priestess—serving her as a maid in return for her room and board.
For many years most people believed she was mute.  Her employer called her Little Ember and it stuck.  She played with the other girl’s in her free time, loving with them when they grew old enough, but it wasn’t until she was grown—a day when her mentor was performing away from the safety of the temple and assassins drew knives at her, that she spoke.  Her voice at the time was like burning pines and popping sap, but she screamed out in this voice and her mistress was warned of the assassins, and the two girls fended them off together.
When the stress was gone, Ember spoke again, this time in perfectly good Taldain—also called the common tongue.  In time, she told a few trusted friends her story.  As a child, she’d always seen visions in fire, and heard voices.  Those around her noticed her fascination with the flames and whispered she was touched by Saranrae—or Asmodeus.  Some just said she was touched in the head.
She didn't start the fire that burned down her home, but the flames that consumed her family did her no harm.  When she escaped the burning building she was screaming for her parents, but in the language of flames, not any tongue known by even the wisest in the village.  When her neighbors turned on her, she fled in terror, making her way to the coat, hiding aboard a ship, and finally finding the temple of Calistria and a kind priestess who took her in and gave her a new life.

I'm guessing her curse would be Tongues, then?  Looks interesting...

Ok, I can give a brief concept and some background.

Name: Gwen Oakleaf
Sex: Female
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Ranger (Probably with a wolf animal companion)

Physical Description:

Gwen, standing an impressive 5'9, has what some might consider the most of both worlds. Her thick, chestnut colored hair frames a heartshaped, elvish face that's dominated by large green eyes the color of summer leaves (inwhich she takes her name), high cheekbones and a cupid bow's of a mouth in skin that is nearly flawless under it's light tanned complexion. Delicately pointed ears and a slender neck that develops into a figure that is definitely more human in form. athletic and well toned, her firm breast narrow into a slender waist and rounded hips that taper into long, lean legs.

Personality:

Gwen is a complex mix of outgoing gargairiness and complitive interspection. She's equally at home in the wilds of the most dense of forest as she is in an inn with a cup of mead. As content hunting down the evils of the world as flirting with a handsom man... or woman... Loyal to a fault to those she calls friend, she can be merceless to anyone who crosses the lines of her perceptions of good and evil. Ultimately, she is pragmatic about life and the demands of her chosen profession. In the ends, the ends justify the means

I haven't thought about a history, but she is either a ranger, or one of the subtypes of ranger.

Will this setting have the pathfinder pantheon?  Or do I need to tweak my history?
