Firefox just did the weirdest thing to me. When I went to turn the mouse wheel to scroll down it started zooming out. Then I clicked on a link to go to a different page and it opened it on another tab. What did I do? Please don't tell me I have a virus.

You also might want to check under your Ctrl key to see if there's any cruft, or if the key itself has gotten wedged down. Both of those behaviors are intended to happen when the Ctrl key is down. (i.e., Ctrl-scrollwheel = zoom, and Ctrl-click = open in new tab.)
