player: Dashenka

Name: Lena Kristin Holtzmann
Nationality: Germany
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Age: 28

Job: Nuclear Engineer
Specific skills: PhD Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Engineering

Height: 168
Weight: 50

Eye Colour: Brown
Hair colour: Black

Distinguishing marks: Nothing visible

Likes: Lena is very introvert but finds her solace in music and good food. She loves her job and is constantly on the hunt for new and better forms of nuclear energy and applications.
Dislikes: Random chit-chat and stupid questions. Big crowds make her nervous.

Psych profile/personality: Lena is a friendly though little eccentric person. She spends a lot of time in her office monitoring and doing research with the nuclear reactor she calls Knut. Aside from that she is mostly to be found in an eating den enjoying some good food or listening to music.

History: She was highly recommended for her dedication and devotion to nuclear research. At earth the risks were considered too big, so she decided to take on some other researches other than her own if she got chosen and with some notable scientists on her earth backing her, Lena got offered the job.

Other info: Lena, and some other people close to her, claim she is highly intelligent but also a bit of a scatterbrain.

Nice, Dasha.

Two things: Firstly to which war are you referring? The year is 2121, WWII is ancient history, WWIII was a bit of a non-event because it was fought electronically... The Oil Wars, fought between the oil-starved developed nations and the oil-rich Arab nations, had Germany on the same side as the USA.

Secondly, I'm going to create an anomaly with this character, provided you have no objections: She is a civilian scientist, and as such should be part of the science department. However, because of the importance of her work keeping the reactor going, she is going to receive an honorary commission into the Luftwaffe, and be seconded to the military branch.

Seriously, the military is not going to let the reactor be controlled by a bunch of boffins!

I was quoting Fawlty Towers :P

And yes, I didn't think about the reactor being controlled by the military so that works :)

I am aware of that, Dasha dear... But my point is it's not a particularly helpful comment in the character profile. Does she not like Fawlty Towers? Does she have a pathological hatred for John Cleese? Or is she overly sensitive about people mentioning Germany's history?

I do get the joke, honest....

"Vill you stop mentionink ze vor!"
"Well you started it!"
"Ve did not start it, you did!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland!"

I'd just apreciate a little more detail about what the character doesn't like, please?

What would help is if you do change details, if you could highlight them some how, so I know what has changed?

This goes for everyone, btw.

(Let me know if anything needs to be changed.)

I generally fix things like typos and spelling mistakes... There is one thing though: you may have noticed your pic isn't showing up?

Code: [Select]
[floatright]http://http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvy83dZ5601r5wslqo2_500.png[/img][/floatright]
should be:

Code: [Select]
[floatright][/floatright]
I've checked the pic and he's very nice. (Not my thing, but doesn't mean I can't appreciate the prettiness!)

Character is approved.

One small issue: Elliquiy staff have asked that all images be uploaded to the Wiki. I know not everyone is doing so, but as I was forced to check your code to see the image, I am obliged to mention it as a responsible GM. Whether you do or not is up to you, and my responsibility is done! If you make any changes, please let me know, as I will be copying your profile to the approved characters thread.

Please drop into the OOC thread and say hi, also please at least skim the first four posts in the OOC and read the fifth one. The first four give background data on the game and it's setting, summarised from the discussions amongst the players. The fifth post is the rules of play.

Thanks for pointing out the code was in there twice. Elliquiry is the only site that I use that does things like that. Anyway I just uploaded the picture to the wikki and changed the url to that source.

Other than that I doubt I will be changing anything about him. I am going to go and read those posts in the OOC forum now.

I'm sorry to hear that, Linna

Could you perhaps manage just one?

If it's the initial posting rate that has you worried, I know it's frantic. I'm having a job keeping up. But I can assure you that as the initial excitement wears off it will slow.

However, if you feel you have to drop out, obviously I can't force you to stay, and I do thank you for having the courtesy to say so.
