A young and ambitious Confessor lays her hands on a relic that protects her mate from being confessed.  She gets it into her head to go after the wizard Remus Slyvanus, believing a wizard as a mate would give her exceptionally powerful daughters.  Remus is seduced easily enough, possessing the passion and lust Slyvanus men are known for.  During her pregnancy she just knows she was right about having a powerful child.  However, the child is a boy.

The Confessor knows she must kill the child, but Remus is not convinced.  While he knows male Confessors are a danger, he believes his son may be a wizard like him instead.  He takes the child and goes to the only place he can think of; the home of his best friend.  He tells his friend the mother of the child died giving birth, and his friend raises the child with his own young son, Zeddicus.

The boys are raised together and become quite close, getting into all kinds of trouble together.  Cassander is fearless and very mischievous.  Remus comes back for his son and tells him the truth about his mother, but Cassander does not tell his best friend, fearing rejection.  Instead, he learns about magic from his father in private.  He also learns to confess, and discovers he can also release the confessed.

Cassander and Zed meet again as young adults, and Cassander realizes he has strong feelings for his best friends.  He tries subtle hints, but in the end, resorts to confession, releasing Zed in the morning.
**

I will be playing the character of Cassander.  I can play this out with them as young adults, or later when Zed returns with Richard... even both, like a past and present kind of thing.

*optional*  Male confessors are capable of mpreg, and Cassander is the mother of Zed's daughter.
