I am in the process of application. I have been answering "crazy questions' etc. I am going to be on vacation inaccessible to internet so I will not be answering questions for about 8 days and I do not want to be considered "inactive". How do I handle this?

Letting us know is a good start, but going inactive during your application really isn't a problem. The thread will get moved, and once you return, it can be reactivated and you can continue as before.

I'll only be gone 8 days but I wans't sure of how if affected the process. Who do I need to contact?

You don't need to contact anyone. Upon your return, simply post in your introduction thread to continue the approval process.
