History: Jack Bloodwheel is a Vermissan Knight. Despite his hulking appearance he is a scholar of sorts. He wants to find out the secrets of the heart. Where the things in the tunnels come from and why they exist.

Stella, would you be up for having Thalia be  the character who is the answer to Ignais' second question?

"You look up to them as an example of how to live one’s life. What inspired this?"

I'm thinking that after Ignais was sent to the city beneath that she kind of helped Ignais reaffirm her belief in  Damnou?

Everyone's characters look great so far. Looking forward to it.

Both games are very cool, but Spire isn't quite as messed up as Heart is

Yup. Heart definity goes all in on the more horror aspect, although the Spire certainly has its weirdness. Both great games just very different but equally fun themes.

Really expensive surgery performed by a powerful group called the Morticians. It's a three day long surgery and ritual where they cut out a heart, replace it with a totem, put the heart in a jar and fill it with a special dirt. (And just realized that might be a Pirates of the Caribbean reference)  You then freeze at whatever age you were at when you had the surgery, your eyes turn black and your skin turns white with gray veins. They no longer need food, sleep, or breathe but still want to do these things and finally they can no longer heal naturally and needs help to do so.

That sounds horrible and horrific and awesome.  I might have to weave that into Kahyne's story somehow.  Thanks for the info!

Kahyne is drawn to the Heart to find the answers he needs to questions he has about what's happened to him.  Perhaps he and Jack have formed an alliance, since they both seek information from/about the Heart.  Something along those lines...?

Also, you're only supposed to have two Beats going at any given time.  I noticed that you have quite a few listed...

I simply copied the starting character from the Quick start. I have no idea how this stuff works.

All good.  We can help you as we go along, but basically, the rules state that you should only have two Beats active at a time; they're there for you to work on, with the GM, to advance your character and fill in their personality and arc.  Once one Beat is completed, you select another to replace it.  Minor Beats grant you minor abilities; Major Beats grant major abilities, until you reach your Zenith abilities, at which time your character's story is nearly over.

I accept Kahyne's alliance with Jack.
