But, I figure something of a poster child for Myneria, pure and innocent ... at first. Then she gets 'corrupted' with increasing enthusiasm. But generally starting off a bit sheltered and naive.

Hmm, I was thinking she met an old retired bard in a cottage not far from her tribe's lair and either impressed him with her upbeat personality or traded sexual favours which saw the stacked goblin trained in the same skills that had lead him to fame and fortune in decades past, only to come back one day to find him dead either of old age or by other members of her tribe that felt he was corrupting the goblin away from her duties as a breeder. Either way, she left the tribe to spread the good cheer and make something of herself.

Would that work?

I'm interested in the way she gets corrupted. Once she sees that Isabella has a cock that would be an immediate red flag that this individual is tainted by The Deciever (Aveen). So maybe your character is captured or is honor bound to follow her and stay with the group? Perhaps the priesthood are chaste and they only surrender their virginity to someone they deem worthy and swear oaths of companionship for life. If Isabella takes her virginity she won't have a choice.

Depends how many she can knock up at a time, though goblin pregnancies go by rather quickly so that shouldn’t cause too many delays on my end and I’m sure my bard would be proud to deliver a small tribe of futa goblins for her beloved Mistress Isabella

I'm sure she would, but the halfling children would be more numerous and better and now I'm totally down for us ending up being massively competitive about being better mothers/wives for their Mistress if you're down for it.

My dwarf idea seems like it would have a lot of overlap with JoanieSappho's paladin and my goblin with LSWSjr's bard, so I'm leaning towards the human warrior. Maybe something like...

When Kayla she was young, she had fallen deathly ill. Her parents, poor and desperate, brought her to a nearby temple of Aveen. They healed her, saved her life, but at a price. One day, the priests said, she would be called to give back what she was given. A task or a quest, big or small, as Aveen decided. But Kayla would have no choice but to do it, expend her life to do so if needed. Kayla had never been told of the deal that had been made that day and even her parents had nearly forgotten it as nothing happened over the years. But one night, Kayla found herself overwhelmed by powerful dreams. The details were lost upon waking, except for one thing: there was a place she had to go, a person she had to protect. Outside her door armour and weapons had been placed and, though she had had no training, she immediately knew how to use them. Before she knew, she had put the armour on, set the weapons at her side and was marching away from everything she had know and towards a person she didn't know and yet had a  sudden and fierce desire to protect.

I think this is is a great idea c0. If you were to go with the Dwarf Cleric I was gonna suggest something to the effect of your character being a follower of Aveen, someone sent to be Isabella's protector/healer. But I really like your iteration of that here where she doesn't know much of anything, only that the pact that was made compels her to serve. I admit I'm not so sure about her having no knowledge of how to use those weapons, so maybe it'd be better if she had some experience as a hunter (ranger) or a thief (rogue) or something to that effect, informal training in other areas since she has no formal martial training? But I love where you're going in terms of character and background :)

Ugh, why must all you wonderful people bedevil me with multiple great options! Since the Tiefling Sorc is your least preferred, and pdragon already has a Tiefling maybe we can move on from that one right away?

I'm really intrigued by a Genasi Monk and it's got me thinking of how to implement the Genasi into the world because I hadn't done that already actually. I'm imagining now four temples (Air, Earth, Fire, and Water) dedicated to each element scattered across Tyrn (the kingdom this game is set in) where they train to become monks, druids, etc. and work to keep the elemental forces in balance. Your Genasi could come from the Water Temple.

My initial thoughts were to have Isabella wash up on a riverbed after being hung and thrown in the river, for the group to find, but maybe your character could see Isabella floating in the river near her home, and she pulls her ashore?

A Gnome Druid sounds fun, but we do have two small folk races already who seem headed for an adorable little rivalry. Plus that Water Genasi artwork is too stunning to pass up on .

The idea I had was that Kayla would just... know, in a mystical, magical kind of way. Aveen needed a warrior, so she just made one out of an available pact-child. Alternatively, I could have it that all her life, she had felt a compulsion to train, to be ready for something, though she couldn't be sure what. Or she could have just become a warrior in the normal way of things and she was just the closest available one.
