It’s Castle Falkenstein™, an amazing journey into another universe just a few steps away from our own: a place where Dragons and Steampower rule the skies, Faerie Lords duel atop the battlements, and where the forces of Wizardry and Magick meet the gaslight streets of the Victorian Age.

Looking to play this game with the dice variant (since we dont have playing cards here on E). I rediscovered this game a few days ago and am reading the rules, so me, GMing would be on the light-side of disastrous. If you are experienced with Castle Falkenstein and would like to run an adventure (a bit on the Introductory level) apply within.

Sir Remiel, Candidate, Knight and Addict,

I find my life in wanting of adventure, without that dreadful risk of death or dismemberment. I long for excitement without consequences and thus I appeal to all of you to help me fill that niche.

Behold how a discussion of bringing Castle Falkenstein to this thinking scroll (a term I use liberally in reference to this Unseelie invention) I shared with Tantalvalist and have come to ill conclusion. Frankly I cannot fathom a way of bringing the flourish and duel of that gilded age to this one-dimensional scroll. Surely the great game was made to be played in salons and saloons with snifters and cigars ready on hand.

But alas, what have we here? No doubt our characters journals and diaries will find a perfect home in this rolling sheets of type, but the smokey atmosphere of lamplight and green felt has no place to confide.

In that however, I am in open arms to solutions, looking even forward to the occasional (and if necessary) depravity so cherished among these thinking scrolls. But alas how do you play with playing cards here? I admit perhaps the only way is to seek a channel in discord?
