Okey dokey. Are you adding electric webbing to her Special Abilities?

Also, you still haven't indicated what Compound Eyes and Swarm actually do in this context. How are you flavouring those abilities for a freeform game?

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

A noble philosophy; I adhere...for now.

I could swap at swarm, Cause I just took it to fill the two slots she had. I thought we to use official stuff for that.
compound eyes is just a bonus to accuracy so I have no idea how to flavor that. i'll take whatever ruling you give.

Vergil Tanner

Compound Eyes would just be something like "Enhanced vision and greater accuracy and attention to detail." We just need that noted down so we can reference it.

The Jorogumo

Richard "Richie" Graychild

Name: Nemo
Age: 28
Species [Type]: Zoroark [Dark]
Gender: Genderfluid
Orientation: Pansexual, Female Preference

Residence: Nemo lives in a Midtown brownstone "inherited" from Tracy Graychild.

Occupation: Delinquent Town's Premier Information Broker [as Jorogumo], Detective [as Richard "Richie" Graychild]

Appearance: In their true form, Nemo cuts a lithe, lean, androgynous figure, standing at 5'9". Their most noticeable features are a thick mane of luxurious crimson hair, black, pointed, furred ears, and the sharp teeth of a predator. As Nemo rarely appears as themself in front of others, their wardrobe is somewhat limited, but having lived in the impoverished Delinquent Town in their youth, they have a taste for finer attire, typically favoring tailored, high-end clothing, predominantly red and black.

The Jorogumo persona is most frequently seen in the nude, as she conducts business in her bath house, and requires her clients to do likewise. Standing 5'9", she presents a statuesque figure, soft curves, porcelain skin, almond-shaped lavender eyes, matching her silken lavender tresses. For all her loveliness, however, it is hard to ignore the chitinous limbs that extend from the small of her back, striped golden and the same amethyst as her eyes. When she must garb herself, she is most frequently seen donning silken kimonos, though she will occasionally mix it up and wear a cheongsam instead.

Richard "Richie" Graychild is by far the scruffiest of the faces Nemo shows the world. The Pikachu has a bit of a hangdog, perpetually rumpled look to him. Standing at 5'9", he peers out at the world through sky blue eyes from beneath a mop of dirty blond hair which always seems to have at least one unruly lick of hair that won't be tamed no matter how presentable he's trying to make himself look (though trying to make himself look presentable rarely seems to be much of priority). His tie is perpetually loose, his collared shirt almost always a button or two shy of being buttoned up. If he isn't wearing a threadbare, ratty brown trenchcoat (or, on rare occasion, one that's only halfway to be ratty and threadbare), it probably isn't far off. His cheeks seem perpetually flushed – not terribly uncommon for a Pikachu – but even if it weren't for that, together with his black-tipped, pointed furry ears, most people catch onto his species.

Personality: Nemo fills every moment of every day with something to work on, something to think about, because if they leave even a moment empty, their mind inevitably turns to the lurking fear that they are inadequate as a successor to their mentor, that they are not and never will be enough because they have failed to solve the cold case of what happened to their disappeared mentor.

They do take pride in their work, though, and are the consummate professional in both their personae as information broker and detective.

For all that Tracy taught them, they never showed Nemo how to form meaningful connections with anyone but themselves. While their work is satisfying, almost all of their relationships, platonic and sexual, are hollow. Since they were taken in by the detective, not one person has ever met Nemo before meeting one of Nemo's personas first, and the number of people who know the person behind the masks Nemo wears are vanishingly few. Until Nemo learns to form meaningful positive connections, they will never escape the feeling of aching lack of emotional fulfillment that follows them like a childhood sweetheart. In fact, they spend so much time over the past ten years in their personae, they barely know who they are anymore with all the illusions stripped away. Though they would never acknowledge it, a part of them fears there isn't anyone actually there beneath all the illusions.

Nemo is mostly work, little play, but when they do play, they have a bad habit of using their illusory mastery to play bed tricks on people in committed relationships, most often taking the form of a spouse or partner who has been away and showing up a day before they're supposed to return. They take a wicked pleasure in choosing those who have secret desires unfulfilled by their current partners and finally scratching those itches for their partners.

Knowing more and picking up more than anyone else in the room is the safety blanket that Nemo wraps themselves in to protect themselves from the fear of intellectual inadequacy, and when in their personae, their presentation is typically far more assured and confident than they actually are.  Depending on the nature of the person they interact with, how much Nemo picks up about others can be off-putting or comforting.

Nemo has a memory like a steel trap, and while capable of forgiveness, they do not forget.

Nemo is not a morning person. Nemo is grouchy and abrasive in the morning hours, and is even worse if they haven't had their first cup of coffee yet.

Nemo dislikes violence, avoiding it when possible, though they will resort to it if they believe a case necessitates it.

While donning the Jorogumo persona, Nemo gives the impression of a spider resting at the center of a web – laid back, languid, but keenly (sometimes unnervingly) aware. Self-assured, the Jorogumo carries herself with dignity, and will treat others with dignity so long as they treat her with the same. She can be friendly, flirtatious, or coolly professional, depending on what she judges the client will respond most positively to. Rudeness is not met with rudeness, but her attitude may grow colder and her prices may rise accordingly. She is prone to touching strangers in a lingering way with her Ariados legs or her hand as a way of testing their reaction and gauging them upon meeting them for the first time. She does not openly behave differently when interacting with Mistypes or Normies, but what she charges for the information, in terms of currency or favors, is on a sliding scale depending on the client's ability to pay... and Normies are typically more affluent.

Richard "Richie" Graychild is reserved, and always seems like he has something on his mind. He views the world with suspicious eyes – though in this regard, he is equally suspicious of both Normies and Mistypes, and treats Mistypes the same as he'd treat Normies, even willing to employ and work for them. While the Jorogumo might, at times, be suspected of enjoying herself, Richie only really seems to be enjoying himself when making progress on a challenging case.

Both the Jorogumo and Richie give their clients what they pay for: the truth, even if it isn't the truth the client wants them to find when they walk in. The Jorogumo, however, is more likely to... selectively frame the truth in a way she believes will benefit Delinquent Town and the Mistypes.

Inherent Abilities:
• Darkvision
• Psychic Immunity
• Umbrakinesis

Special Abilities:1
Illusionist: Zoroarks are capable of weaving illusions that ensnare the senses of multiple people, the illusions capable of fooling all five senses. They can cloak the terrain in illusions and make convincing illusions of attacks. These illusions are extremely realistic, enough to fool even cameras and make one believe they're being physically affected, though the illusion does not have any direct physical effect. (For example, Nemo can make someone see and smell and hear a Burn Blast attack, even feel the pain the attack should inflict, but it won't actually leave any burns.)

However, the illusions are not without limitations. Zoroarks cannot create distinct illusions for different individuals – that is to say, if a Zoroark were to create the illusion of an object in their hand, they could not have one person perceive an orange cube and another person perceive a red ball – the Zoroark would have to choose one object that everyone subject to the illusion would see the same way.

While under the influence of alcohol or other psychotropics or any effect that would inflict the confused status ailment, their ability to weave illusions is affected. The exact effects are inconsistent, but Nemo is much more likely to get details wrong, or for the whole thing to turn out fuzzy around the edges, or missing a third dimension, or for it to simply very obviously be an illusion. As such, Nemo makes a point of abstaining from such substances.

Master of Disguise: Training under Tracy Graychild, a Ditto, Nemo honed their ability to cloak themselves in illusion to a degree beyond that of most Zoroark. As a result, Nemo is particularly talented at disguising themself, either as one of their personae, or as other individuals.

Egg Move: Detect

Strengths: cunning, deductive, flexible, investigative, memorious, observant, quick-thinking, sly, tricky

Weaknesses: bad work/life balance, caffeine addicted, dangerously curious, distrustful, emotionally unfulfilled, inferiority superiority complex, insecure, not a morning person, obsessive, sore loser, subject to mistype prejudice if found out

Likes [Non-Sexual: coffee, games, privacy, puzzles, stories, strays, winning battles of wits
Dislikes [Non-Sexual]: alcohol, cold cases, losing battles of wits, prejudice against mistypes, psychotropics, unsolved mysteries, unsolved puzzles, violence

Ons: bed tricks (and by extension dubcon)
Offs: anal to oral, anal to vaginal, bondage (receiving), fisting, guro, pegging (receiving), scat, snuff, vore, watersports
Player On/Offs

Backstory:

The Mistype that would eventually rename themself Nemo started life in Delinquent Town raised by a single mother. When a fire swept through Delinquent Town, their mother too badly burned to continue conventional work to support them, turning to the using illusions to give clients exactly what they asked for as part of the world's oldest profession.

As soon as they were old enough, the Zorua turned into just another Mistype stereotype, stealing to survive and support their mother, doing better at it than most due to their illusions. They weren't good enough to escape the notice of Detective Tracy Graychild, however... but the detective saw a potential in the Zorua, first recruiting them to acts as one of their Irregulars, their eyes and ears on the street, then, eventually, revealing to the Zorua that they were, in fact, not a Pikachu, but a Ditto, and offering to train the Zorua in detective work and to use their illusions to become a master of disguise.

Over the years, the Zorua eventually shed their old name and identity, taking on the name Nemo as they evolved into Zoroark, and assuming the public persona of a Pikachu, Richard "Richie" Graychild, distant relative to Tracy Graychild. But despite how much the Ditto taught them, becoming a surrogate parent figure, especially after Nemo's mother finally passed away, the dynamic duo was not without rocky patches, and it only worsened over time. Finally, Nemo stopped accompanying their mentor on the cases they took on, desiring independence, to build a life of their own.

And, on their first solo case since they'd taken on Nemo all those years ago, Tracy Graychild disappeared.

Haunted first by guilt, then by their inability to track down the detective's fate, Nemo ended up taking over their mentor's detective agency, while also building a new identity as an information broker only known as the Jorogumo in Delinquent Town. The case has been cold for nearly a decade, now, and despite rationally knowing that they should let go and accept it will probably never be solved, they still continue to use their dual occupations to hunt for leads that may have been missed.

1 2/3 Illusionist is awfully powerful, would be okay having just 2 even though they were trained by their mentor.

Vergil Tanner

So, IDK, having been trained by Ditto you'd likely have three rather than two Special Abilities. If you want to stay at 2, that's fine! But you are eligible for 3 if you want.

Given how potent Illusionist is, I'm cool sticking with two abilities, though if you'd be open to it, I'd also be cool leaving a slot open for Nemo to develop a new ability over the course of the narrative.

Vergil Tanner

That's not a problem! Go ahead and post it up in the Character Thread!

Stargazer

Name: Marisola Jiménez Román y María de los Remedios Cipriano a.k.a 'Mari'
Age: 22
Species [Type]: Scolipede
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual

Residence: Shady Acres, Southern Delinquent Town
Occupation: Personal Assistant and Bookkeeper

Appearance: She's a bronze-skinned beauty, with fiery magenta hair that she carefully grooms in an array of styles - she keeps it straightened for the most part, but sometimes she'll let her natural waves flow free. Her eyes are a smoldering amber-brown, nearly gold, framed by thick, dark lashes. Originally from money, she still dresses with impeccable taste and style, and prefers deep blacks accented with rose colors and blush tones. In her past life, she was decked in flow-y, dramatic styles, and accessorized with diadems, gold head chains, and various gems and precious stones. Not to mention her collection of fragrances. Nowadays, she's far more practical. Her dresses, while still dark and moody, are less theatrical, with a punch of color or the casual flirtation of exposed skin by deep slits at her upper thighs or some carefully exposed cleavage.

She's rather proud of her neck, and so she will still adorn herself with gems that way, and with earrings, but her old collection of her precious gifts have been locked away, it's for the best. At only 5'1', she's rather diminutive, but she makes up for it for her presence. She walks with a controlled, almost constructed gait; with her head held high and her lips held in a feminine simper, one would assume she was some rich man's girlfriend or spoiled daughter. She keeps her legs crossed and at her side when sitting, and her voice can be best described as sultry and well trained. Her general shaped can be best described as 'luscious'. Generous curves fit her small frame with ease, and when she walks, her hips have that natural sway of a woman well in-tune with her body. One would be very surprised, that this entire persona is carefully constructed, but she plays her part as the fallen debutante, turned secretary, quite well.

Personality: She's the embodiment of the term dark feminine. As the eldest child and daughter of her once prominent family, she's known for her sophisticated and serious nature. Although, she's no stranger to letting her hair down a bit over a glass of her favorite wine (or five), she's still a very austere and charming young woman. Deeply intelligent, as well, her education was fostered by private tutors who were willing to be paid under the table. She's far more prudish in her actions, often denying any advance with a carefully wording colloquialism and a wink. "A lady is never caught out this late..." is often her go-to.

A strong romantic, she's not opposed to being wooed or flirted with, but she's also quite spoiled and loved due to her upbringing. She's flattered by most attention, but she's known to rarely entertain. Mari is only used to the best of the best, after all, no other substitution shall suffice. Of course, because she has been heartbroken and forced to rebuild, piece by piece, she's also extremely protective of herself and everyone in her circle. As a friend, she's a headstrong advocate, eager to cut down an enemy with the sharpness of her words as well as her perfectly manicured claws and fangs. She's doting and nurturing, she loves her pets and her plants, and writes her mother often. In private moments, there's an air of sadness about her. She's often caught in long pauses or gazes into nothing, it's as if she's waiting for something, or someone.

Still, because of her pride, it's hard to see what lingers in her sad eyes.. but sometimes, you may be able to catch a tear.

Inherent Abilities:
-- Can walk on vertical surfaces
-- Can produce venom
-- Resistant to poison
-- Resistant to natural chemicals (EG, Pheremones)
-- Can survive in noxious or toxic environments

Special Abilities:
Quick Feet -- When affected by a status effect, her metabolism speeds up and she gains a speed and agility boost.
Speed Boost -- When in danger, adrenaline is released in bursts, increasing her speed as time goes on
Poison Point -- When in danger, can produce poison points all over her body, which poisons assailants on contact
Egg Move: Bite
Strengths: Intelligent, Strategic, Kind, Cooking, Book Keeping, Administrative, Detail-oriented, Refined, Empathetic, Generous
Weaknesses: Very 'type-A', Moralistic, Prudent, Vulnerable, Emotional, and deeply Sensitive
Likes [Non-Sexual: Wine, Good food, Reading, Taking care of her plants and pets, Nature walks, Singing, Long conversations
Dislikes [Non-Sexual]: Dishonesty, Abuse of any kind, Cheating, Thievery of the poor, Beards that don't connect

Ons: Massages, Roughness, Dirty Talk, Submission, Domination, Sweet talk, Sexual tension, Spanking, Choking, Biting, Edging, Breeding, After care
Offs: Scat/Watersports, Incest, Gore, Anything else too extreme that hasn't been mentioned probably belongs here.

Backstory:

The Ciprianos were, at one point in time, a name that meant something. Marisola came from two lines of 'slum royalty'. Her mother, Magüi Remedios, was the daughter of an old crime boss who fell deeply in love with Olivero Cipriano, the heir of a growing merchant kingdom. They may not have been actual royalty, but their wedding procession would put a king's to shame. For three nights, people celebrated their nuptials, and within a year, Marisola Jiménez Román y María de los Remedios Cipriano was born. She was a curious baby, and an even curious child, often hiding behind a door to listen into her father's business proceedings while her younger siblings followed suit.

Of course, she'd be caught, but her father found this amusing. There was something in his eldest girl that made him second guess the need of a male heir. She was a bright child, all of his children were, but as the eldest, there was a special responsibility to be held. Just because she happened to be born as a daughter didn't matter. When she was barely 6, she was allowed to listen in to papa's business deals and follow him on the days where he'd inspect products. His most popular items happened to be ones that dealt with beauty and cosmetics. Natural vermilion was especially popular, harvested in the northern parts of the country, where she first saw it in done in person as a young teen.

It's with this association with beauty that she grew from a lanky tomboy, to a vision of grace and femininity. She made her official 'debut' at fifteen, at a birthday party of an associate of her father's, and from that moment on she was desired. Of course, she rebuffed her suitors, using her mother's inbuilt sarcasm and superficial charm. She knew exactly how to either let you down gently, or so sweet you could barely taste the poison underneath. Her teen years were filled with expensive gifts, raucous parties, and fun, yet fair-weather friends. Still, she couldn't help but keep that kind streak instilled within her. Her father always believed that were blessed and fortunate to have what they had, and that they could always lose it in the blink of an eye. "That's why we give back."

Disaster struck just short of her twentieth year. An associate that had long envied her father's empire, somehow was able to weasel in a contract that left all of their assets to him, instead of Marisola. An illness quickly ravaged her father, and by the time he died, they were left without anything but the items they already owned. Her poor mother gave up every fur and piece of jewelry during their first months of poverty just to keep them afloat. Desperate and tearful, she remembered that her father was friends with Dimitrius Maranzano himself, the crime boss of Shady Acres. That fact alone made her nervous, but she asked for his consul, and nearly begged him for anything to help her family, and especially her widowed mother.

She feared his rejection, and even assumed he'd leave her to her own devices, but he was gracious. He remembered her father's kindness and honesty, even if they did live in a less reputable place, and so, he offered her a position as his personal assistant. Now under the employ of Dimitrius, she currently does not worry too much about her family's safety. Half of what she's paid goes to them and she has dreams of one day rebuilding the Cipriano name. But for now, she works for Mr. Matranzano, who's an eccentric in his own right, but for the most part, doesn't mean much harm. Much.
