BACKGROUND
Born in a small enclave of goblins Stat was born with intelligence and wisdom far surpassing his cohorts. Because of this he found his way to the top of their tribe quite quickly as he lead them to consistently successful bouts of raids and thievery of caravans and traders passing through their territory. It was during one of these raids, however, that things went too far. The people were more prepared than they should've been and turned the tables on the goblins. Stat was the only one intelligent enough and cowardly enough to run away from the massacre.

After his failure and the loss of his companions Stat decided he needed to make a change and found a cave deep in the woods to keep himself inside of while he studied nature and communed with spirits. He spent at least five years living in the wilderness like this, taking only what he needed from the land and tending to the forest on his own. It was a simple life but upon the fifth year of his self exile Stat could feel himself needing more and more from life. He enjoyed the simplicity but he couldn't deny his baser urges any longer.

With this in mind Stat made his way to Neverwinter and with  a combination of his healing magic and rampant intelligence he managed to make a good amount of money quickly and even got a name for himself along the way as Stat Golden Hands. Now he spends his time amidst Neverwinter using the day to keep his reputation and tend to healing others while at night he became a prolific gambler, a common face in pubs, and an even more common face in brothels. Time to make good on those base urges he ignored for so long.

Quote from: kingmaster1 on July 25, 2025, 12:25:45 PMHi, is this still looking for players? I've wanted to play in this campaign for a while and thought it'd be fun to pull a DND build together.
There is always room.

Quote from: thegreatg on July 25, 2025, 01:19:23 PM@PhantomPistoleer before I get too down in the weeds with my character, have you reached a decision on multiple sub-classes?  Only asking because it looks like some of the submissions are for a single and some for multiple.  Just wanting to know what I can do before building my character.
Yes.  Non-multiclassed characters can have two subclasses.  When you multiclass, you will lose one subclass.

History

Justin never knew his parents, in fact he has never met them, at least not that he can remember. Before his earlies memories he came into the care of Grandma laveau, a Hag that held her own little domain in the Feywild. She has never told him how he came into her care, if he just wandered in or if his parent bargained him away. He guesses that it might be for the best that he does not know, did not need that hanging over his head while he grew up in her domain, her Bayou. His time spent there certainly left its mark upon him, as anyone that has seen him in the nude can attest to. Yet he learned well from his time growing up there, though not well enough to prevent the loss of his left eye. He was lucky that his grandma had an extra eye for him, the small magical orb serving as a reminder to use his head before he uses his body.

Eventually Justin left his home in the Feywild, wanting to explore the lands he was supposed to have come from and maybe even confront his parents about what happened to him. The day he left his Grandma had another present for him, a beast formed from the feywilds itself, its form shifting in function but not so much composition. Composed of a mixture of fur, foliage and hard bramble; Justin named the creature Wicker, and he has been his staunchest companion. With Wicker at his heels he set out into the material realm to learn more about where he came from. Adventures both long and short, exciting and boring, some with the fate of many in his hand. He experienced all he could and collected and lost treasures, friends and lovers along the way.

There was one aspect of his life that he had to get used to while adventuring. Seems that though he left his Grandma's domain he was not out of her reach. There were many times that he went to sleep in one place and woke up in another entirely. it only took a few times of him trying to leave the area just to wake back up there the next day to realize when that happened he was meant to do something. It took Wicker coming back with a note tied to his neck to confirm his suspicions. So, he was not surprised when he woke up in Neverwinter.

Would there be an any consideration to allowing multiple PCs?

I had orginally planned on a Ranger (Gloom Stalker/Hunter) but I don't have a ton of experience in starting out at such a high-level (and none with dual sub-classes) so the process took longer than I had hoped.  Now,with Isengard's character and even Falcon, I worry there maybe a lot of unecessary redundancy, so I created a Fighter (Chapion/EK) that happens to be the ranger character's sister, and while I love the character it just loses some of the "flair" to me without playing alongside her brother.

Both characters are fully made, and the fighter is formatted and ready to be posted here.  The ranger is also done, I just need to transfer the info from D&D beyond and format it for here!

I guess I could consider it but my predisposition is to say no, given how many players have expressed interest.

I'll post them both shortly, just formatting the second one.  I am not opposed to someone else playing the other character, assuming they want to of course.

I actually love making characters. So I like to have reasons to do so. It is more difficult at higher levels. I will give you that. But that's half the fun to me. Lol. I'm weird!!

Oh I 100% agree, character creation might be the best part!  (even with the added complexity of high-level builds) which is why I refuse to rush it!

I absolutely refuse to make a character without some sort of backstory and thought behind the character. I usually find myself writing detailed backstories before the character is even finished. (Hell I am already writing a couople of short stories for these characters that expand on the stories allued to in thier backgrounds).  Then I let these ideas influence my build, as the flavor of the character is far more important to me than dice and min/maxing stats!

I've been tinkering and looking at whats availabile. And its helped bring an idea to life. Only bases I had was spell slinging pirate. And now its eveloved into a pack with a dark enity and the search for the ultimate treasure. And maybe something more….le gasp!

Plus doing this helps me learn the system more. So its just fun for me all around. Lol

BACKGROUND
The youngest child of an Elven aristocratic family, Galen’s first adventure came under the watchful eye of his sister Illara, when the two helped investigate disappearance merchants and the mysterious Wave Echo Cave outside the village of Phandalin.  Galen’s ability to serve as the group’s scount was vital to their success.

Galen then set out on his own, traveling the world to help those in need.  He ventured to the Underdark, to help rescue a group of prisoners being held captive by the Drow.  While there, he met a cute Dwarven girl named Eldeth Feldrun, helping her solve many mysteries of the Underdark (although Galen fancied her, nothing ever came of his silly crush) before continuing his travels that eventually lead him to even more magical places.

Most recently Galen was reunited with his sister during a desperate battle at a small keep. The defenders fought bravely, but the attackers seemed compelled by some secret force, and when the defense’s finally collapsed, Galen was forced to pull his sister from the pitched battle, lest they both lay dead alongside the others.

Now, hoping to discover more, the two make their way to Neverwinter, hoping the great city of Faerûn may hold the answers they seek.

APPEARANCE
Standing over 6 feet tall, Galen towers over his older sister, yet shares her lithe physique, that emphasis lean, developed muscle tone without any unnecessary bulk.

Galen has darker hair than his sister, it taking on a blondish/brown color as well as blue eyes, and would be considered a strikingly handsome young man by most accounts.

BACKGROUND
The eldest of two children born into an noble elven family, Illara excelled at her military training from a young age.  So exceptional were her skills, that when it became time for her younger brother Galen to begin his training, she became his teacher, the two of them training side by side for many years.

Illara enjoyed her first successes in combat alongside her brother while investigating disappearance merchants and mysterious Wave Echo Cave outside the village of Phandalin.

Following this success, both she and Galen set out on their own.  She has traveled through the world, and even visited some more magical places on other planes.  But her greatest success has come on the battlefield where Illara has participated in numerous military campaigns, often leading troops and protecting villages from evil enemies.  In fact her stalwartness on the battlefield served as a rallying cry and inspiration for her troops on the battlefield, often leading them to victory in the face of defeat.

Most recently she was reunited with her brother Galen while helping the defenders of a small keep hold off a vicious attack.  The defenders fought bravely, , but the attackers seemed compelled by some secret force.  When the defense’s finally collapsed, an outnumbered and outgunned Illara stood toe-to-toe with three magical giants (yes they were named Fee, FiFo, & Fum)

Galen came to her aid, and having bought the last settlers enough time to escape.
Illara and her brother were the only defenders to escape with their lives.

Now, hoping to discover more, the two make their way to Neverwinter, hoping the great city of Faerûn may hold the answers they seek.

Standing just an inch over 5 foot, with a  willowy physique, enchanting green eyes, flawless alabaster skin, and white hair, Illara is a shining example as to the ethereal beauty of elves.

Her slender, lithe frame cuts a stunning, almost column like silhouette comprised of narrow hips and shoulders, and subtle curves.  Her waistline is defined but not deeply cinched, creating a clean line from her small, high set, firm breasts down to her gentle tapered hips.  Her stomach is flat and naturally concave, emphasizing her subtle and lean muscle tone without any necessary bulk.

Actually I went back and reread the first part.  I guess I missed the part about the GM rolling for artifacts initially.  I am happy to provide proof of my rolls for the moon sword, but I will also adjust if necessary based on the GM’s rolls

Wow, the Horn of Valhalla got super nerfed.

Are you sure you want it?  Five dudes with +5 to attack at advantage at level 10 isn't that great, especially given they only do 1d12+3 slashing damage.

I guess you can keep both characters.  Seems like it'd be a shame not to.

And yes.  I will have to roll for the moon blade.

Okay.  For minor beneficial property, I rolled a 7.  You gain a skill of DM's choice, but I will allow you to pick.

It has 6 runes (I rolled a 5).

For the runes, I got a: 7, 45, 49, reroll, 100!, reroll, reroll, reroll, reroll, 65, 76.

Let me see what else may be useful for a Legendary for her.  As for the moonblade, I was also thinking of an Energy bow (instead of the moonbow for Galen). If I do that, I might give the moonblade to Illara in place of the horn, but let me do some research and see if there are any other legendary items I like that fit the overall character vibes!  Also open to recommendations as this is the first time in a long time starting at a high level.

And thanks for letting them both stay!

If those rolls for the moonsword check out, that would give it +3, thrown, 1d6 force dmg, and the shadow spell thingy.  Does that check with you?

The skill proficiency will depend on whose hands it ends up in.

@thegreatg so, I have an idea that could be interesting. Would certainly have to be approved by phantom and could serve as a motivation for adventuring further and let you play both kinda.

BUT, they could be under a curse. They are forced to occupy the same space, but not at the same time. So basically they can't both exist at the same time and swap out when a trigger is met.

Can make it simple as when the sun is up one is out until the sun goes down, or since its a lewd game can have them switch a few moments after cumming.

Phantom already said he was okay with both of them.  And while I like the idea I don’t think it’s what I’d be looking for in this game.

Thanks for confirming that, since that’s the case-and if you are cool with it- I would like to move the moonsword to Illara’s Revanent Double scimitar, (keeping the +1 ability, AC bonus if wielded with 2 hand, and finesse property) as her legendary.

The whole inspiration for Illara is a dexterity based melee who prefers to use pole-arm style weapons instead of more traditional elven weapons.

The dexterity focus is why she doesn’t wear armor that imposes disadvantage, and the impetus behind her having Great Weapon fighting.  The Revenant Double scimitar was the only weapon i could find that even resembles a pole-arm and allows for finesse.

I’d even be willing to compromise and have Galen forgo a legendary (substituting for a VR instead) if you are worried about balance.

Although starting at such a high level is new to me, so I am happy to entertain other ideas for legendaries.
