Hemingway

Welcome!

It's December 2020 July 2021 . . . Hello! I'm Hemingway, and time is a meaningless construct. I've been a roleplayer for nearly over 20 years by now, and I'm usually on the lookout for something new and exciting to write. I enjoy unique and exciting ideas, and my preference is generally for stories that are a little slower, and take their time to feel authentic and believable, and I prefer to keep stories moving. In this thread, you'll find some of my ideas. Please do note that my list of plots is not an exhaustive list of what I would like to do, so if you'd like to pitch me an idea of your own, please feel free!

You can find my o/os list by clicking here. Updated 10/1/24.

With that brief introduction out of the way, what can you expect from me if we decide to write together? If you're curious about my writing, I invite you to check my previous posts, which I think speak for themselves. I find it hard to give a specific posting frequency, but I tend to reply within a few days unless I'm especially busy or tired - which does happen. If I know I'm going to be busy (or if it's been a while and I still don't have time, I will try to remember to let you know). I promise that, if I should lose interest in a story for any reason, I will let you know!

In return, I really only expect the same courtesy: I appreciate good communication, but as long as I know you're still invested, I'm really quite patient.

Speaking of communication - I do find I enjoy planning and plotting, and I am available on Discord for this purpose. Let me know if you'd rather chat there!

Plots
Ideas for plots which we can work on to create a story!

Long Distance

A group of college-aged friends on vacation end up drinking with a group of older women, also friends on vacation. In particular, one of the younger women and one of the older seem to hit it off.

I imagine the older woman to be around 40, possibly a professor for reasons that will make sense shortly. She's divorced, perhaps even recently - it may be the entire reason she and her friends have decided to get away from things. Less outgoing than the others, perhaps, drawing the attention of the younger woman by being a bit quiet, off to the side. She certainly isn't there expecting to hook up with a woman half her age.

The younger woman is the more outgoing one, who notices this one woman who doesn't seem to be as into everything as the others are. She decides to strike up a conversation, maybe discovering a shared interest - see the professor angle. She probably didn't come there expecting to hook up with a woman twice her age, either, but by the end of the night makes it clear that is very much on the table.

The older woman is reluctant, in light of everything. Maybe she just decides to go for it, maybe it's peer pressure - but they do end up hooking up.

As they're both on vacation - and not coincidentally from the same town - there's no expectation of anything long-term there. Still, the younger woman at the end of it gives the other her contact information. She had fun, after all. When they each go their separate ways, it doesn't seem like there's going to be more to it than a fond memory for them, until the older woman finds herself in the area and, after some hesitation, decides to reach out.

I should add - as I find I do in most plots I pitch these days - that I'd be happy for either character to be trans. In fact, given the choice, I might prefer it! In this case, I'm also happy playing either character.

Small Town Blues

I'm usually keen on stories involving some kind of age gap. I especially enjoy when there's some added element of taboo to it, like a woman and her daughter's friend. This particular idea is just the latest spin on that - if the specific idea doesn't appeal to you, but you'd still like something like this, you can feel free to pitch me just about any version of it!

In this particular case, the younger woman - would happily add trans - (early 20s) moves to a new town. A small town. It isn't entirely by choice. Perhaps it's the only place she was able to land a job after graduating. Either way, she isn't thrilled by it - and even less so as dating prospects for a queer woman seem pretty close to nothing. Which, as she honestly starts to get a bit desperate and worn down by it, makes her relax her standards somewhat.

It could be with some dating app, meeting in a bar - or anything else. Whichever way, she does meet a woman. She isn't immediately crazy attractive, and there's the small wrinkle of the other woman being twice her age (40s to 50). Very much not her usual type - but then, there doesn't seem to be that, so, what the hell? She decides it's better to give it a shot.

Spoiler alert: It turns out more exciting than she expected, for both parties.

A Big Surprise

MC is coming out of a relationship that ended badly. It's not really been long enough that she's ready for anything serious, but she is more than ready to get laid, and so tries a dating app. There, she matches with someone unexpected: she's tall, muscular, a bit of a goth. MC, not her most confident self, doesn't exactly have high hopes - but she's smitten. Surprisingly, they match.

She's a bit surprised when the other woman acts like they've met before, which she is fairly certain she would have remembered. There's a bit of a back and forth before, she learns the other is trans - and finally puts together that she did used to know this person.

If this sounds like the setup to a romance - it isn't. That part comes later. In the moment, MC is high, she's horny, and she's just matched with this incredible woman. She makes it pretty clear if the other woman comes over, there's more than a good chance they'll hook up. Which, they do.

Here's the part of the story where my imagination sort of spun out into some unusual kink territory for me, as they fairly quickly get down to it, and it turns out the woman she's matched with is - and there's no real delicate way to put this - incredibly well hung. MC has her doubts before they even get started, but without some extra help, it's just too much. She goes to get lube, but shock, horror - she's out. She tries to power through, but simply has to tap out.

This is where this is actually a setup for a romance, as rather than her date just awkwardly leaving, the two end up just cuddling, actually reconnecting.

Homecoming

MC is a recent college graduate, newly returned to her hometown after years away. Obviously, things have changed - most her old friends have left as well, and not returned. She's changed too, of course, and comes back rather different to how she was when she first left.

She hasn't been back that long before she runs into YC, her best friend's younger sister - who may have had a crush on her in the past. Obviously, she's changed, too.

MC, happy to see a familiar face - even if they weren't exactly friends before, owing to the difference in age between them - and eager for any kind of socializing, invites YC to her apartment. It turns out they actually have great chemistry, hitting it off almost immediately. And, well, MC's love life hasn't exactly been anything to write home about since graduating, either, so the two of them end up hooking up. What happens next, that's for us to find out!

Optionally, I'd be happy for either character in this to be trans - I think that could be interesting!

Another option would be for YC to be the mother, rather than the sister, of the friend. This is not mutually exclusive with the above option!

Love Bites (Listen, at this point bad titles are becoming a point of pride for me.)

It's the dark and cold season here, and I am craving something darkly atmospheric involving vampires. I tend to borrow from the World of Darkness setting for my vampire stories, though that's optional - and knowledge of the setting is not a requirement in any case.

MC (Inspiration) is a vampire. If we want to go with a World of Darkness setting, likely Toreador - or even Giovanni! YC, then, will be her prey.

MC and YC meet while MC is hunting. A nightclub seems like a good location, though it doesn't have to be. YC could even be an escort - this part is flexible. Whether through MC's striking appearance, money or supernatural powers, they hit it off. YC doesn't recall much beyond this point. She's fairly certain she hooked up with this mysterious woman, but can only remember flashes of the night before - and no name. She remembers a sense of euphoria unlike anything, though - and waking up the next morning in her own bed, with no memory of how she ended up there, feeling hung over and looking rather pale.

When she confides in a friend, the friend tries to convince YC that MC must have drugged her, to go to the police. Instead, YC starts to develop a certain obsession with trying to find MC again.

Backstage Ass (I am once again forced to apologize, I'm not a professional plot namer.)

MC is the singer of a local black metal band, and with a voice to make you wonder what dark pit she emerged from. The band - with some over-the-top name like Gore Slaughter - is popular with the local scene, which is to say it's obscure as all hell, and they definitely all have day jobs. They're playing a show at some dive one night, when YC happens to be in the crowd.

The band is very much not YC's vibe - she was dragged there more or less under duress by her friends. She's definitely not having a great time, but the beer helps. Plus, she's got a view. Nobody told her the singer was a smokeshow. What's more, the feeling is mutual, as MC can't help but notice YC out there. There's a definite connection there.

When the show is over, MC disappears - for the night, YC fears. Until just as she's about to lose hope and call it a night, MC turns up. It's not exactly a VIP backstage pass kind of joint, and it is way too loud for conversation. Still, their intentions are clear.

From here, there are a few ways the night can go - but by far my favorite is a sordid restroom hookup. As it turns out, though, this is going to become more than a one night stand.
