Hey guys,

I got to listen to a really good audio drama on my drive across Arkansas and loved it, but was wondering if anyone had any others in a similar vain? I'd like to point out this isn't a podcast but an actual audio drama. The show is called Star Trek Outpost (Link) and I'm hoping to find more.

Thanks,

When you say 'similar', do you mean specifically science fiction?  I know of an author/voice-actor who has done some marvelous dramatizations of both his own original and some public domain works.

The BBC has a long tradition of excellent audio dramas. I'm not sure where in the world the BBC iPlayer and the Sounds app work, but if you have access, the archives should be accessible. Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' was my gateway - it's all-around brilliant. (If you like Gaiman, The Sandman is currently in production, with full cast.)

If you're into horror and dark fantasy, Mortis Maledictum and Sentinel Creatives are worth looking into.
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

We're alive, is on of my favourite audio dramas, a very well made story in a zombie apocalypse,

The bright sessions, is a very interesting one, a therapist for supernatural people, helping them with their powers, with a pretty cool plot that evolves over time

Wolf 359, set in space on space station, a good mix of comedy and horror, with the plot really ramping up in the later episodes

If you want something kind of audio drama, that will keep you occupied for a very long time then the nosleep podcast is king, with hundreds of episodes with 3 to 6 ish short stories per episode, not quite audio drama but each character has a different voice actor and there are some sound effects in places, very well made

I was going to suggest "Welcome to Night Vale", but their entire network is pretty awesome. NV is ...weird, small town, comedy horror? It's a little difficult to explain. "Between the Wires" is also really good, it's unusual in that it's set in a timeline similar to what we know, but you only start to realise the differences as the episodes go on.
