Well if anyone is interested here's my character for the game; a male version of the Little Mermaid! I saw that we could post our profiles on here, but I made sure to put it in a spoiler tag in case someone didn't want to see any just yet until they were done with theirs as well!

Character Concept: The Little Mermaid

Bio:

After Ariel had died from her heartbreak, she had turned to sea foam and had passed away. The King, angry and saddened by her death, took the sea foam of his daughter and scoured the seas for any form of magic that could bring his beloved daughter back. Finally, the sea witch that had tricked the ear Princess struck a deal with the grieving king, unbeknownst that it was she who had cast the spell on his daughter. With enough coin, she would bring his beloved child back from the throne of death itself. Desperate, he agreed, and the Sea Witch cast her magic on the foam. In that instant, a new child was born different, for the King had not been specific in wanting to bring his own daughter back, and as a result was gifted a young son, one that had the memories of his dear daughter, but was born of a different gender. Outraged, the King cast his most powerful magic to rid himself of the Witch, yet as she scurried away, he was left with a son. Unable to bring himself to abandon or kill the boy, he took him in as his new child, and became the first Prince out of Triton's daughters.

Growing up as someone new was entirely difficult for Ariel, for all his family and friends remembered him as a girl. Adjusting to such new things was hard for him, but as he grew older in Fableshore, he began to adjust to his new life, glimpses and flashes of old memories beginning to fade as new ones began to form. Starting his new life, he changed his name, going by Aoi rather then Ariel, yet some still call him that, which he doesn't correct them. He's worked hard and continues to live his life as comfortably as possible, working in Fableshore's most well known Coffeeshop as he tries to adjust to his new life, despite others still becoming confused due to his appearance when he turns into a mermaid; despite his feminine appearance, Aoi retains his male anatomy when he transforms.

Special Qualities:

-Singing If others couldn't recognize Ariel as he was now, then his singing voice is definitely a give away. Ariel as a young girl loved to sing whenever she could, being told by her sisters and others that she had the most beautiful singing voice of all. Even as Ariel died and was born anew as a male, the gift of song was still passed down, and as such, sounds as melodic as it was before, however with a male undertone due to his gender.

- Transformation Due to his origin as as being a mermaid, Aoi has the ability to transform into a mermaid and his human form whenever he pleases, for how else would he be able to return to visit his family in the sea? However, he can only change into his mermaid form when in some body of water.

- Swimming Seeing how Aoi is originally a mermaid, he has a reputation of being a rather fast, and possibly one of the best, swimmers in Fableshore. He swims whenever he has the time to, and mostly uses this skill to hunt the ocean for pearls for his Family's Jewelry shop that's in Fableshore.

Extra: It's fair to note that most fairytales were unaware of Ariel's death, and only a select few had known. As a result, some people are unable to recognize Aoi as Ariel, and as a result, he isn't given the proper respect that royal would usually be given. Despite this, Aoi understands, but wishes that more people would at least be a bit more considerate, especially when he lets people know who he is, only to receive shock and skepticism in return.

List name of business: Aoi and his family own a business near their home by the shore of the beach known as "Sea Shore Jewelry", where the store (run by his six sisters), sells dozens upon dozens of necklaces and other trinkets with pearls and other gems from the sea below. Aoi works at the shop as the official "gatherer", swimming into the sea to find whatever jewels and exotic items he can find, even keeping a few for himself that he finds the most interesting.

Ten years ago... It was a nightmare. It had to be. He'd had them before, all the memories of being tossed into the gutter as a kitten and ending up beholden to that moron in the floppy hat. Nightmares made his paws and whiskers twitch. But something was different now. Instead of a velvet cushion on an outrageously expensive sofa, he'd awoken flat on a cheap rug in a foyer, freezing cold. He was cold because he was naked. Because he had no fur. NO FUR?! Had his master's drunken compatriots shaved him for sport? Someone was going to get their eyes clawed out for this... but when he went to stand his hind legs were much too long and his front too short. He tried standing upright, as he did when he wore his boots, and he shot up so high he thought his head would crack the ceiling.

It was no dream but it was still a nightmare. He was human.

Winston - no one had ever asked his real name before - put his disturbing, long-fingered paw on the doorknob and opened the front door of this... shoddy apartment? He was certainly no longer in the palace. His only comfort was the sunshine on his horrifically bare skin as he stood looking at a world he did not understand in any conceivable way... until his neighbor spotted him loitering naked on the front stoop and screamed bloody murder. He screamed back, as seemed proper, but when she went for her broom he bolted back inside and slammed the door. This wouldn't do. None of it. Things were terrible and bad and that meant he had to put his boots on and go find out how to solve this wretched quandary so that he could return to the lap of luxury to which he had become accustomed.

He found the bedroom and the closet quite handily (his former castle apparently having been shrunk down to a tiny loft apartment with only one of each) and a pair of boots, HIS pair of boots, and they had grown to fit him so that was a mercy. He risked a look in the mirror on the back of the closet door and screamed a good long while after that. When he tired of screaming, he stepped back outside and proceeded to relieve himself in the shrubbery as was only natural. This time his neighbor actually managed to get in a solid swat to the back of his head with her broom before he noticed her and he bolted back indoors, followed by her howls of outrage at a naked man urinating on her holly bushes. But he wasn't naked. He had the boots! What more did she... oh, that's right. Humans wore lots of things to cover up their disgusting bodies. Another hunt through the closet produced some soft pants that went on the hind legs (after removing the boots first) and a light shirt that went over the front legs. And the head. It took him a few tries but Winston finally managed to get them on in the right configuration. He ventured out again, giving his neighbor's door a wide berth - he could still see her glaring disapprovingly over the curtains of her front window - and onto the street. The carriages here were horseless, which was a mercy, although they were very noisy indeed, especially when you walked in front of them. Winston found the sidewalk most amenable to travel and he began his explorations of the city.

Surely there was someone here who knew how to set things right.

Ten years on...

Nothing had been set right. Winston had become the inhabitant of a city full of creatures not at all like himself but with the same problem: they'd been something else, somewhere else, and now they were here. Here wasn't all bad, it was just different. Being human - now that was all bad. Well, except for the part where he taught himself to use human instruments to make music. His music was different now, not as pure and heartfelt as his feline vocalizations, but it was entertaining to make all the unusual sounds on things with his ridiculously long front toes. And people gave him money for that, which was the thing humans had to exchange in order to keep their treasures and shelters. Again, incredibly annoying. But as the years passed even the insanity of humanity became habit and Winston became quite good at it, of course. If he could make a moron into a king with only a pair of boots to his name, he could make a living - and a damn good one at that - in Fableshore.


Special Qualities:

-The Cute- When absolutely necessary, Winston can dial his charisma up to 11 and capture the heart of his target, gaining their sympathy and affection for a short amount of time, usually however long it takes to get him out of his current unfavorable circumstance. It doesn't work on *everyone* (especially if they know him well, as familiarity breeds contempt) but is significantly effective on strangers who like cats.

-Catlike Reflexes- Although he seems to spend a great deal of time lounging around doing nothing useful at all, he is naturally muscular, agile, and fast when he needs to be. He excels at parkour and hunting down small rodents. The former is a more marketable skill than the latter.

-Street sense- Winston has a feel for the heartbeat of the city, the movers and shakers, and the underworld scene - at least in the Wonder District.

That's actually a very good question.

To answer; around six or seven, but no more then that (for in character threads). Of those six or seven, there will also be a private thread (included in that number). I'm working away on getting the last bits of information up here on the interest check over the next few days. Once that is done, I'll be working more actively on the in character threads. I can't provide an exact date yet, but at the latest we'd probably aim to see the in character threads up by the end of this week.

Last but not least, you may have noticed already that I've done a most and entire rewrite of the interest check page. This is to reduce the amount of unnecessary content that is overhanging in this thread. All removed content is still accessible at the Game Information thread, where it will remain, and should be reviewed by everyone who has been accepted into the game. The purpose of this thread is now entirely for reaching out to further interest inquiry. To answer questions, and to explain the aim of the game. Please remember to all approved and accepted members of the game (which are posted at the character archive) keep all OOC chatter in the OOC thread, as we don't want to clutter this thread for anything more then it's singular purpose.

Lastly, I am very busy at this time bringing the game to a full and active means of completion. Please be patient with me. I've been considering the idea of Mysts/characters having their own set of O/O's. I've noticed some games tend to include this idea of establishing a characters O/O's in their respective character sheets, to sort of help navigate more intimate/erotic scenes, and where they might end up. If we did add this section to the character sheets it would be completely optional of course.

Do let me know what you all think, and upon your feedback I will adapt the character sheets for future characters accordingly!

Glad to be aboard. Jack Frost's profile will be up and running very soon, I assure you. I've just been busy scrambling face claims until I found one that finally fits what I am going for.  I am aboard as more of an assistant of sorts, which is why I am a tentative GM at this time. By all means, all the credit goes to Blissy and her amazing storytelling.

Happy to see so many familiar and new faces around, I look forward to plotting and helping out where need be. I am available if anyone has questions.
