Personality

Yesenia is a fun loving girl with a mischievous streak and a true passion for living. She possesses a sharp intelligence and is fairly confident but most times it is simply the bright enthusiasm she seems to project so effortlessly that is noticed. She likes attention, affection, and adoration but while she is rarely cautious with her affections, deeper emotions tend to scare her a bit--though it is not due to any lack of love present in her home life. Yesi is for the most part a kind and compassionate person, however, she can also be rather stubborn and opinionated. Fortunately this does not lead her to be closed-minded but does mean she is not easily swayed from her beliefs.

A Little Deeper

Yesenia's parent's met on the job when both were asked to assist in a matter that had the potential for international ramifications. The job was completed successfully of course but from there a budding romance began that included a lot of travel on both sides. Finally Mateo put in for a transfer when an opening became available in the British Ministry, and the two married a few months before the birth of their daughter. Yesenia had a decent upbringing. Her half-brother Guillermo took to her right away becoming quite the protective older brother and looked out for her whenever he could, actually doing more to shelter her than his father or step-mother simply because he views her as a gift. In her home life, Yesi is considerate and responsible though she does have a streak of mischief that often results in her pranking her father but since he tends to just prank her right back, their house is generally full of laughter. Getting to go to JWA was exciting for her and as she had started during her brother's last year there, she never had to worry about much in the way of bullies or such unpleasantness. In fact, she had somewhat of a head start as she had all of Will's old notes and things to help her along even after he went off to Hogwarts. She missed him terribly whenever he was away at school but that didn't stop her from enjoying her time at school with friends. Though she still maintains that her brother is her best friend, she is an outgoing girl and has had little trouble in the social department. Through the years, Yesi has been a fairly good student and as of late has found she has a keen interest in those concepts that are not easily studied at this level. Time, death, love and other such mysteries are interesting to her just in and of themselves but when magic is added in she becomes utterly fascinated.
