ISSUES Issue One: Early September. The school opened for the second year since the Institute was rebuilt and at first, things seemed to be going well. There was a big trip to Salem Center planned for the students, chaperoned by Jean Grey and Storm. Force, Jubilee and Iceman discovered a strange device in the lake behind the mansion that announced that it was homing in on and activating... something, though exactly what is a mystery to this day. As the students embarked on the field trip into town, they all decided to see a movie. Unfortunately, the theater had been rigged as a trap by the diabolical hitman known as Arcade, and the students and chaperones awoke paired up in various deathtraps in the fiendishly deadly Murderworld! As the students struggled to stay alive and escape their fates, the mansion was attacked by four of the giant mutant hunting robots known as Sentinels. Some were injured, but the Sentinels were taken down quickly by the might and skill of the X-Men. While the Sentinels attacked, the shape-shifting mutant known as Mystique had been attempting to steal some of the X-Men's secrets, but was thwarted by Beast and Metallica before she escaped. The grounds however were devastated and, after the others eventually escaped from Murderworld, it would be over a week before the Institute was repaired and the grounds once again looked pleasing to the eye. Meanwhile, Iceman had been planning to leave the X-Men, but Rogue followed him. A young mutant girl by the name of Hayley had been running from the Hellfire Club and, just as she reached a startled Iceman and Rogue, Hayley's mind was usurped by the White Queen and the girl was forced to open a portal that the two X-Men were forced through. Hayley and the Hellfire Club soldiers returned to New York and Rogue and Iceman found themselves in the Savage Land, stripped of their powers. Kazar saved their lives and took them to the Fall People village, where the two X-Men learned that Sauron and his mutates were attempting to subjugate the people of the Savage Land again. The two agreed to help the Fall People and were taken to the source of the mutant power negation field, a dome built by the mutate Brainchild. The battle was fierce, but even without powers, Rogue, Iceman and Kazar prevailed and destroyed the dome. Their powers restored, the two X-men helped to defeat Sauron and restored freedom to the Savage Land. Rogue returned to the X-Men, but left shortly thereafter to find where Iceman had gone when she discovered that he had not returned. Gambit followed Rogue to keep an eye on the southern beauty. Issue Two: Mid to Late September. Some of the students decide to go to a club in downtown New York where the mutant Dazzler is performing. Some guys at the club had been raping what they thought were mutant girls in the bathroom. The last of their victims was in fact a human girl, who died from the assault. The students confronted the guys and one of them mutated right there into a 12 foot tall monster the students called 'Hulking'. A fight broke out and the Brotherhood showed up to try to take Hulkling for their own ends. Sabertooth, Blob, Avalanche and Mystique all participated in the battle. The panicked club goers emptied the building quickly and the police were called. The X-Men arrived in the Blackbird just before the police got there and picked up the students under cover of Storm's fog, and due to one of the students using what amounted to an EM pulse before the Blackbird arrived, there was no electronic evidence against the mutants involved, nor did any humans at the scene remember anything, thanks to the combined efforts of Xavier, Jean and Psylocke. During the battle, Nuo was taken to the headquarters of the Hellfire Club, where she helped Hayley escape from the White Queen's mental grasp. Nuo and Hayley returned to the mansion together and Hayley became a student. Issue Three: Late October. Current Issue. Students are preparing for the Halloween Party to be held at the mansion later in the week. | Main Page |
