History
Born in the Summer of 579 AD in Rome, he was given the name Xavier de Fontaine. His Father was a Politician with big ambitions for the Roman Senate. His Mother was a seamstress, slaving away with needle and thread. He was raised mostly by a House Servant and taught daily by a private Tutor. He was a sheltered boy, protected by wealth and abandoned by love. At the age of Sixteen, his Father was murdered by an Assassin as he was leaving for the Capitol for a Political affair. It struck Xavier hard, not because he had a perfect bond with his Father, but because simply it was his Father.
A year later his Mother fell ill and died from the sickness, many died that year from the same illness as he recalled. Grief-stricken and at the suggestion of his Tutor, Xavier moved with his Cousin to a town East of Rome. What wealth his Parents had banked, he carried with him. He lived with his Aunt and Cousin for a year before he realized they wanted him for the wealth.
It was in 597 AD that he moved further East, but this time on his own, finding work as a Farm Hand. He kept what wealth he had a much guarded secret, only wearing what clothes befit a Farmer. A had his first lover, the Daughter of a Farmer, but it was short-lived. Xavier came to realize that it was lust that attracted him, and it now disgusted him. After breaking the heart of the Farmer’s Daughter Xavier was forced to move once again. By this time he had started drinking, and indulging heavily in wine.
It was in the Winter of 601AD, in a small Province in what would be called France today, that Xavier met his first death. He had settled there for a little over a year, and passed himself off for a Builder and miscellaneous help-hand. It helped feed his now serious drinking and brawling habits.
One night at the Inn where he spent his time playing table games and filling up on spirits, he met a curious man who introduced himself as Vale, a Foreigner from Egypt. He didn’t seem like an Egyptian Native, not one that would have lived there before to Arab Invasion. But being that Vale was a Foreigner and so was Xavier they bonded very well over a series of three nights, that ended in Vale’s Village House. After a passionate and lustful exploration of two males in love, Xavier felt an insane amount of pain and yet pleasure start at his neck and extend down through his shoulders and chest, back and legs. It was a pulling, and aching sensation in all of his veins. It lasted for what seemed like hours but was only a few minutes, and then Xavier barely able to lift his head, seen Vale’s face before his own. He was told that he was moments from death and was given an opportunity to join Vale forever, in love, lust and eternal youth. Keeping in mind that he had lived an already disastrous life, he chose to follow through. Thus Vale offered him the blood of his own, and Xavier died the mortal death and became Immortal.
It was after many nights of countless explorations of their bodies, inch and measure, intense lust that Vale decided it was time to take Xavier to his native land, and show him the sights. And so they traveled from place to place, first Egypt, Vale introduce Xavier to every memory he had of Egypt, and then back to Rome. And Xavier told his mortal story to Vale and showed him all the things of his youth there.
It was 781AD close to the end of the Battle of Trent that Vale and Xavier settled in what is today London. There Vale was known as a Wealthy business man, and Xavier was known as his son. Xavier was introduced to many of the face of London’s underground Vampires, notably the then, current leader of the Watchers, Letreya who approved very much of Xavier, but proclaimed that she had seen into the future and seen Xavier’s untimely death in the near hundred years. Though it wouldn’t happen, Letreya was excommunicated two decades later for treason to the Council, leading to the assumption she was a fraud.
From time to time they would have to leave London, when they would go to Rome and live for a decade or so, then to Egypt and do the same. This was to thwart suspicions of their youthful appearances. And allowed time for humans to forget of their existence. And so it was that every two decades they moved from place to place.
In 1100AD Vale was regarded as an Elder to the Council in London, and had privileges of record services. Simply meaning he and Xavier would no longer have to move for long periods of time, they could stay put and keep their names from records, and use false identities. It worked well.
During the Winter of 1205, Thames froze over and caused a disastrous famine during which time Xavier found a young male whose family had suffered such lost that they couldn’t care for him any longer. Xavier without consent of Vale took the young man, Alexander into the home. Vale reasoned with Xavier that without being of the blood, Alexander could not be permitted to live among them and so Xavier gave the man a choice at the age of Seventeen. Of course in that time, if it had be believed many perhaps that had a horrible life of events would have taken the chance to become immortal without many cares. Thus Alexander being in disbelief at the time, made the decision to become what they were. Vale took the life, and Xavier gave it, making Alexander the fledgling son of Xavier.
It was perhaps a century they grew together and they established their clan. The Nefarre Clan, compromised now of the Blood Descendants of Vale, Xavier and Alexander, the founders of the Clan. Though in Modern day the name Nefarre is no longer used, rather cherished and remembered. Modern Day the Clan is referred to as the Talon Bloodline.
When the Americas was founded and colonies were established, Xavier and Alexander pleaded with Vale to go with them, to experience the new land together. But Vale refused, due to the rumors and talk of what the new land was like or the troubles of the new lands. Though he gave them permission to settle in the new land without him, only if they returned to visit. And so they did, staying with Vale for another decade before making the move.
In the year 1600 Xavier and Alexander left for the new land, and settled in Massachusetts. It was much different there, than they had known in England. But they managed well, having Xavier’s wealth and some that Vale had sent with them.
Xavier even found some older Vampires that moved to Massachusetts before him, and they together managed to keep each other in good standing with not only the public but government settings as well. Much of the Salem Witch Trials they witnessed, the building of towns and villages. Time passed so quickly for them, as seems to happen for those that live eternal. War came and left, society rising only to fall again and rise again. History repeating like a broken record.
They both travelled together to visit Vale once a year if possible, sometimes less. But in the year 1650 upon their arrival for a visit Vale was nowhere to be found. When asked, the Watchers only knew that he left for Egypt to settle their for a little season. Xavier checked the frequently mentioned locations that he knew Vale to enjoy, but to no avail. Vale could not be found. And so they returned home with one of Alexander’s Fledglings, Lester.
In the aftermath of Vale’s disappearance, Xavier grew impatient and ever so angry. Alexander had enough of the mood changes that he and Lester left Xavier and headed west in 1725. This left Xavier to wallow in his own pity. He couldn’t feel his Master any longer, the connection seemed dead.
1790 was the mark of the end of a century. New York was crawling with opportunity and that is where Xavier found himself. Settling in the City of New York he met and became acquainted with new Vampire Families and Clans that had immigrated from Europe. He even found of himself a new Fledgling, as it seemed he had been alone far too long. A fair skinned British Man, William who had a rare blood disorder, Doctors gave him three months without treatment to live. And so Xavier gave him the blood and cured his affliction. They lived together and shared passion for many years, together building much wealth and investing a majority of that wealth into land and buildings, new developments and companies.
Needless to say William made Xavier a very rich and important man. By 1890, one hundred years together, William wished to take his part of the wealth that Xavier deeded to him, and pursue a life in the west. This was something Xavier was not willing to do, and so William left for the West. Xavier continued business as usual in New York.
The turn of the century 1900 was spent with Alexander, Lester and his new fledgling Sarah who all stayed with Xavier for a week before leaving again. It was good business in the early 1900’s for Xavier, most of his properties and investments had already given him much profit and return. Half of the properties he had owned with William had been sold by 1940, but more were bought and more investments were made.
In 2000 Xavier decided to create a company to handle and manage his assets so he did not have to do it alone. And with technology he, Alexander and William kept in touch more often, but the memories of Vale remained just memories, as there was still no trace of him.
To this day Xavier still resides in New York, where he manages him numerous Corporate Accounts and Holdings.
