He wears his blond hair neatly slicked back or parted to one side, framing a long, sensitive face with a straight nose. His eyes are gray, and he keeps his face shaved or with light stubble.
Personality
Raised a nobleman, Will believes that it is important to keep up standards and appearances--at least in public. He has a confident reserve to him that keeps him fairly quiet in most crowds. When you find him in a more relaxed frame of mind, he can get rather wild, eager to take risks that have thankfully become somewhat more calculated as he's gotten older. He has a wicked sense of humor, though that can be covered up by his sense of superiority.

History
Lord William Harley was born in 1825, the second son of Baron Cromley and Baroness Elizabeth Harley. Educated by tutors for much of his young childhood, William went to boarding school for several years and read Classics at Cambridge before he was sent down from school. After a tour of the Continent, he began spending more time in the fashionable circles in London's Ton. Unfortunately, in his time at school William developed a taste for liquor, cards, fast horses and fast women (and men), and his time in the Clubs only made that worse.
Eventually, William had spent all the money he could beg or borrow and found himself in debt and needing to either marry into money or win very big at the card table. Some of his compatriots didn't appreciate his attention to their sisters, and rightly or wrongly, he found himself accused in an extremely public way of cheating in a high-stakes game. At that point he had little choice but to challenge his accuser to a duel, but since dueling was illegal--and it was quite late at night--they couldn't find a doctor willing to stand in with them. Both men were somewhat drunk, but Will quite a bit more so, and he ended up shot and bleeding out.
William knew he wasn't going to make it, and when Simon Hawtrey appeared he was fading. He begged the man to find him a doctor, but instead the vampire offered to heal him himself. Will promised him that if he did, he would serve him until the end of his days, and without realizing it he pledged himself to serve Hawtrey's interests in undeath. Since that time, William has been acting as Hawtrey's factor in noble circles, and living off his family's investments from behind the scenes following the death of his older brother.
