Appearance

At just over six feet, Thomas is a broad, muscled man. His blonde hair is worn long and somewhat shaggy, his eyebrows are thick, and his face is most often covered with a beard as blonde as the hair atop his head. With fierce blue eyes and a predatory stance and movement, he often comes across as far more intimidating than he ever intends. Most often, Thomas elects for whatever clothing he finds comfortable… jeans and t-shirts are his most common choice, and he prefers athletic shoes over most other styles, as they allow him a better range of movement and faster response times. Thomas is capable of drawing himself up and squaring his shoulders, making himself seem and feel larger than he really is to those around him. This is a behavior learned from his lion side, and not something he consciously realizes he’s doing most of the time.

Personality

Naturally inclined toward being territorial and possessive, Thomas actively tries to keep that part of his personality under wraps, knowing that most away from the Prides he grew up around in Africa wouldn’t take kindly to such behaviors. He tends toward stubborn behavior, and having grown up among a pride, he is a bit more “old fashioned” than is common in today’s society. That said, he is not antagonistic about his old fashioned sensibilities, and does not try to push them on to others. Instead, he focuses them in to taking a dominant, guiding role in relationships he is involved in. Thomas enjoys nearly any type of sport, camping, and most types of music. He is particularly protective of his sister, as she is the only family he has in the US with him and he sees it as his job to keep her safe.

Mine. Thomas is a dominant through and through, and prefers a woman who will submit to him. He is partial to rough, demanding sex and in the nature of all good dominants, he is quite partial to after care.

History

Born the first of a pair of twins to a witch and a shifter in South Africa, Thomas and his twin sister Annalise grew up on a lion preserve owned by their mother, Elizabeth Crawford. With hunting of lions on the rise throughout the continent, Elizabeth used her family’s considerable wealth and influence to buy a huge portion of land where she could protect as many of the great cats as possible. During this time, two prides of lion shifters traveled to the preserve to seek safety after losing several of their number and seeing other prides completely wiped out by the hunting.

Elizabeth, moved by their plight, accepted them on to her land and vowed to protect them however she could manage. During this time, she met Amadi, a male among one of the prides. The two fell madly in love and while she took him as her familiar, she also gave him children. The twins grew up on the preserve, surrounded by their father’s family and culture. Very little of their mother’s English roots stayed with them aside from their fair coloring and names, and even as children, before anyone could be sure if the twins would be witches like their mother or shifters like their father, they were accepted by both cultures happily.

When they were fifteen, their first shifts came upon them, and the twins clung to each other in terrified desperation as their bodies went through the changes. As time went on, the shifts became easier and soon enough, both was able to shift at will and roam the wilderness of their preserve home, happily indulging in the land they knew so well and the creatures that roamed it.

It was during this time roaming the preserve that the first shots rang out. They were spending time with their Pride in the way most natural to them, and while relaxing in the heat, hunters managed to sneak on to the preserve and get close enough to get a line of sight on more than one of them. The hunters managed to put bullets in two of their number before they were taken down by members of the pride. Thomas, after watching his father fall with a bullet in his neck, charged the nearest hunter in a mindless rage, and his sister followed. They were responsible for two of the hunter’s deaths, and by the time their mother reached where she’d felt her familiar’s pain radiating from last, the two were sitting in their human forms, sobbing over the body of their father.

Unable to bear the thought of losing her children, Elizabeth packed them up and put them on a boat to America, hoping that being so far away from the hunting would make them safe. She refused to send them to London where there was a risk and likelihood that they would end up slaves to vampires.

Since arriving in the US 40 years ago, the two have traveled a lot but recently have chosen to set down roots in California.
