The rebel angels fell, garlanded with fire.

And as they descended, tumbling through the void, they were cursed as the newly blind are cursed, for just as the darkness is more terrible for those who have known the light, so the absence of grace is felt more acutely by those who once dwelt in its warmth. They screamed in their torment, and their burning brought brightness to the shadows for the first time. The lowest of them cowered in the depths, and there they created their own world in which to dwell.

As the last angel fell, he looked to heaven and saw all that was to be denied him for eternity, and the vision was so terrible to him that it burned itself upon his eyes; and so, as the heavens closed above him, it was given to him to witness the face of God disappear among dark clouds, and the beauty and sorrow of the image was imprinted forever in his memory, and upon his sight. He was cursed to walk forever as an outcast, shunned even by his own kind, for what could be more agonizing for them than to see, each time they looked in his eyes, the ghost of God flickering in the blackness of his pupils?

Strengths:

Very strong muscular and mental status, highly intelligent but quiet, expert in combat with firearms and CQB styles, very keen sense of awareness and tactical mindset. Expert Sniper, if someone wants death at a distance he is the man to call. Can summarize a situation and come up with a solution or route of escape quickly.

Weakness:

Very Impulsive, reckless, insubordination if he thinks that higher ups are making the wrong decision. He thinks quickly on his feet as strength, but he can also fly off the handle and act what some consider irrational.

Personality Traits:

Very quiet and shows little if no emotion. He may seem like he is not there with his seeming liaise fair attitude, like he doesn’t care, but inside he acutely aware of everything around him and will speak if he feels that he wishes to.

Background:

Angel grew up in the typical white trash type of neighborhood. Coming from a long line of Marine Vets, he knew he would be at Parris Island before he turned 18, college wasn’t even an option laid out for him. However, unlike his Grandfather that fought at Guadalcanal or his father in Keh San, he held the loyalty and pride they gave him, but he had intelligence. He never picked up his books and he knew more than most of the teachers. He didn’t push the fact though; he learned to hide it and use it to his advantage. While all the other kids were doing homework and studying to get into college, he partied and still got straight A’s. So it was for his life, Angel grew up learning the system and how to get around things. His high intelligence allowed him to see and analyze a situation quicker than it was happening and come up with a way to take advantage of it. He became known for being able to dance on his feet, get what he wanted and get the hell out of dodge before anyone even knew he was there.

His biggest problem though was his temper and instability. Something he seemed to inherit from his uncle who died in prison for murdering five men in an argument over a pool game. If someone said or did something he didn’t like he would sometimes go ballistic, and thanks to his big brothers he learned how to survive a fight at a young age, so no one ever was able to challenged him when he did and it got worse as he grew up.

As planned he went to Parris Island, while not the perfect example of military discipline, he managed to get into enough trouble for insubordination, he did prove to be a lethal weapon. Shortly after ITS he applied and passed INDOC for Force Recon where he became an expert in combat with firearms and CQB styles serving in many clandestine missions overseas. With Force Recon he distinguished himself as a highly successful and lethal member of his unit, but after his insubordination outburst became to frequent he was sent to Sniper school. The thought was that alone or with just him and the spotter he would not be so prone to the outburst. He excelled and soon became the one of the best in his class chalking up many confirmed kills on missions that could not be recorded. Because of his unique ability to adapt to ever changing circumstances and get out of deluded situations without support, he was chosen to enact several “Diplomacy at a distance” missions by various agencies of the government.

His pride in what he did had never been higher, until the incident that sent him falling from the grace of the agencies. He was on a mission in Philippines to eliminate some Communist Guerrilla Terrorist Officers, and he witnessed his old unit from force recon pinned down in a valley. He tuned into the frequency and what he heard sent him over the edge. The suits decided that even though they were pinned down and running out of ammunition, they would be classified as expendable for the sake of political repercussions. He witnessed them overrun by the enemy and slaughtered. He managed to take out 20 of the terrorist from his vantage point before he was compromised himself and had to escape.

He returned and found the suits that made the decision and killed them in cold blood in front of the mess hall using his Kabar. He was sentenced to life in military prison for his acts and stripped of all clearances and benefits of the military. His fall from grace was hard, fast and complete. He didn’t react well in the military prison and was subsequently transferred to a High Security Class I prison. He made contacts there using his skill and intelligence and quickly made it up the ranks of the prison system with many beneficial underworld networks set up.

He eventually planned and made his escape from there after killing three guards and made contact with some of the underground he was introduced to from inside the big house. Once a highly respected member of the government serving his country with pride, he has since turned to the life of a hired gun for various mob families and lives a secret life hiring himself out to not always the best money, but always the best deal. He never regretted what he did to cause this life, but he still longs for and remembers the days of old at times.
