Some siege engines require a siege engineer to command them, while other siege engines do not. All siege engines require a number of characters to crew them, and have a movement rate of 1. Most attacks cannot damage structures. Siege engines and ships count as wooden structures for the purposes of damage.

Attacking with a siege engine is much like attacking with a normal weapon, but subject to the following modifiers:

Stationary Target: +2 (add an additional +1 bonus to each subsequent attack while the target remains stationary) Moving Target: +0 Target Moves more than 10 yards: -3 Target size S: -5 Target size M: -2 Target size L: +0 Target size H: +2 Target size G: +4 Target size C: +6 Target size T: +8 No Wind: +1 (wind modifiers do not apply to ram attacks) Light Wind: -1 Strong Wind: -2 Storm: -4 (does not apply to ram attacks_ Close Range: +1 Medium Range: -6 Long Range: -10

Siege weapon range is expressed as four values, where the first value is the minimum range.
