Pern: Skies Of Fire - Smithcraft Hall
The smith craft hall is very important to Pern, these are the people who harness their physical strength and produce the things that Pern needs. Anything made with metal was at one point in the Smith Hall. This is a craft of physically fit people, no one unfit will ever be in their numbers. Some specialize in finer metal crafting, like Jewelry making or Watch creation. Some specialize in the creation of weapons and harness pieces. But overall the Smith Craft Hall is full of people who know how to work hard, and party even harder.
Apprentices in this craft end up spending at least ten turns working with various masters. Learning the craft, and stoking the fires. Training and learning are both very hard on the body, but no one soft in body is ever a Smith. This is the craft for people who want to make things of beauty with metal and stone.
The current Master Smith of Pern is a Man in his late 50s.
