Healer Hall! The place where Surgeons and Doctors are born. Though on Pern they are just put under the mantle of Healer. Healers are very important to Pern, they are the ones that fix the sicknesses, help figure out injuries. They are the ones that take care of the ill, and find new advances to help better the living status of the Pernese. Some are trained as Beast Healers, meaning they train to take care of Animals. Some are Dragon Healers, and they train specifically to handle Thread damage - or common ailments that dragons bring upon themselves (IE Wing strain, broken bones... Hatching injuries and Mating injuries.)
Healers are the only ones truly capable of teaching this craft, and they love sharing their knowledge!
The Healers Hall accepts Apprentices of Any Age Range. Though they have a rule that if you are an apprentice for more than twenty turns, they generally ask you to leave becasue of an inability to flourish and progress with your skills.
The Current Master Healer of Pern is a Woman in her 60's. She is pragmatic, and very strict in the way things are run.
