Personality
She is a chameleon, her personality changing by what her surroundings are. She can be a very social butterfly or a complete and total outcast. She respects those who respect the order of things, who respect how life is supposed to be. This doesn't mean creatures that bend to her will however. This means if you wish to have a role in life you should play it. Do not play yourself higher on the ladder, or lower on the ladder than you are meant to be. She has no time or respect for pity parties or arrogance either one. She has always, and will always treat others as they treat themselves. Overall she is light hearted, fun loving, gentle and sincere. She believes in loyalty, honesty, and dedication, therefore she shows this in everything she does, with everyone she meets. Her experiences in life have allowed her the ability to give everyone a chance, however, they only get one chance. Once that chance is lost she has a great deal of trouble giving another.
Appearance
Patience stands 6'0 with long black, lightly waved hair that goes just below her middle back. She mostly wears her hair down, though there are times in which she will pull it back into a pony. Her eyes are hazel, they color change with her mood, so they are a good indicator if she is one that should be approached at the time or allowed to be left alone. She keeps her nails painted to match her attire, and her fangs filed down as she doesn't use them often. She has soft, delicate skin, because of this she is very picky about who or what touches it. Over the years her clothing interests have changed a great deal, and she does what she can to blend. She wears little to no make up, tends to avoid jewelry though she does have a few silver bands on a few of her fingers, and dresses for complete comfort.
Ons & Offs
Patience is up for anything really. She values creativity and romance above all, though there are few women who don't. If she doesn't care for something she won't hide the fact that she doesn't like it, if she's ignored she'll get very verbal. An absolute no, no for her however is bathroom play and bestiality. She also is totally turned off by dishonesty and disloyalty, remembering once you break her trust, no matter who you are. It will be a near impossible task to regain it.
Additional Data
Ability
Precognition: The ability to accurately predict the future. She's been practicing this ability most of her immortal life, and in her opinion it will never be fully mastered. However she hasn't been wrong yet. She doesn't control this ability, allowing it to do whatever it wishes. The more important or endangering the situation the more quickly it comes forward, and the louder it screams drawing her attention. Lesser situations she tends to ignore because she doesn't wish to pry in or try to control other people's lives.
Telepathy: The ability to read thoughts. Looking into their eyes she can see right into their souls. She can find their greatest desires as well as their deepest fears. Knowing their intentions and their every through. She will eventually be highly experienced enough with this ability she can find thoughts that date back to earlier years in their life, allowing her to know who they are, have been, and possibly learn who they might later become. - at this present time this ability is weaker to her... Only being a week or so old she is new to it and depends greatly on her fellow elders for their help and support in the field of acquiring dolls.

History
Patience Nightcurse was born Rachel Swartz to a nice country family that settled down in middle Europe. She lead a normal life, she had both her parents, an older brother, and two younger siblings, a brother and a sister. They even had a scraggly old dog that helped with some of the chores around the farm they lived on. That was her life, the life of a farmer's daughter at least that's what she believed it to be. Rachel's memory only went back to when she was about eight years old, everything before that was quite a bit of a blurr, and her family, well if they knew they weren't talking. At least not at this point in time they weren't. So she lived her bliss helping out around the farm, helping with the livestock and tending to the fields when of course she wasn't in the kitchen doing 'women's work'. This lasted for about six years, til she was about 14 years old, but like most things all good things have to come to an end. One night while the family was sitting around the table some of the locals decided to take law into their own hands. Rumors had started shortly after she arrived that she was a witch, that she wasn't even close to normal. Her family of course ignored it, and hid her from the locals as much as possible, but with no authority stepping in. The villagers who lived nearby decided they'd deal with it. They torched the families crops, butchered their animals and then came for the farm house where they were all at.
Patience and her siblings were hidden in a shelter beneath the house as a few villagers managed to get inside. She could hear her parents talking to the people, pleading with them that they didn't know what they were talking about, how they could assume such things from someone so young, someone with so much potential. Of course Patience had no idea they were talking about her. The talking seemed to go on for some time, and in the meantime Patience had fallen asleep. When she woke up she was laying in a nice warm bed. This of course was comforting to her because it meant that everything worked out. That everything was back to normal, but things weren't the same. They'd never be the same, and her journey, was really just beginning.
when she opened her eyes she was face to face with a young boy she'd never seen before in her life, which of course caused startled her. He was only about eight or nine however so he was really no danger to her. A few moments later an elderly woman came into the room, she was well into her 30's, at this time that was rather old. She explained to Patience what she knew, how one of her sons had brought her here, and how they were going to get her back to health and send her on her way. As they didn't want to have the same trouble that her family had had. They were a peaceful group, the kept mostly to themselves and because of this they didn't want any outside trouble. While Patience was hidden under the house, the villagers ended up burning down her family home, with her family still inside. Patience was pulled to a safe area by her older brother, but when he went out to get help, he too was attacked and killed. This still made no sense to her however, she couldn't understand what made her so different that they believed she was a brand of evil. So evil that they had to kill her entire family to stop her rein of terror. The woman who had brought her the tea explained to her, that it wasn't so much a matter of them 'knowing' she was evil, but fearing something in which they didn't understand.
She had come to them from a far away place, at a young age, so they believed she was brought about by witchcraft, when in reality she was the daughter to a band of gypsies who had gotten sick and they didn't wish to infect their daughter and get her killed, knowing for certain that she would not have the strength to fight off the illness. They swore to the Swartz family that they would return for her, but they never did. At this her family saw it as a sign that she was meant to be with her, and that they would make her their own. This knowledge came to Patience a few years later, while she was traveling down an old dirt road and met a man who was about her age. He seemed to recognize her, though he called her a strange name. One that was unknown to her, but known by her family.
Not really knowing who she could trust she took a chance with this male, and he took her to the camp where a band of gypsies were residing. Among them was a girl about her age, just a few years younger who would prove to be her real birth sister as well as a couple dozen other people whom Patience didn't recognize. The young male left her by the fire and went to one of the wagons, returning shortly with two other elders. These two proved to be her mother and father. They were able to explain things to her in a way that she could understand. They gave clues to knowing who she was based off birth marks. Scars she had that she couldn't explain now had completed stories, and everything that she didn't seem to recall before going to the other family was told to her.
At age eight she lost her birth family only to get another family, a farming family who was good to her, and who died for her when she was fourteen, now, at age 17 she has once again found the original family that was the missing piece of her life. They had asked her to join them and she agreed. She had nothing to stay where she was for, everyone she really knew was dead, and this was a chance for her to continue to live. It's what they would have wanted after all, so it's what she felt she should give them. They weren't on the road for three months before she was met by one of the others of the group. She was a quiet woman and seemed to keep to herself. She didn't even speak much to her own family unit in fact. Though admitably her entire family unit seemed to be a bit off from the rest of them.
The woman came to her one dark night, calling her by her birth name, the name she returned to as she joined back with her gypsy band. She told her of the strange things in the world, things she had seen but couldn't really explain. Introducing herself as Nokomis she asked Patience to join her for a walk. Patience seeing no reason she couldn't trust one of her clan agreed and followed along. They went quite a ways from the group and that's when things seemed to take an interesting turn. Noko turned on Patience and grabbed her shoulders firmly before flying towards her neck. Then she bit her. Patience had no time to react to what had happened, she felt the sting the initial pain as she slowly was drained of her life essence, she knew at that time it was the beginning of the end for her. Her lifeless body fell to the ground as Nokomis keeled beside her and cut open her wrist, allowing a few drops of her own blood to drip between Patience lips. That was the last thing she remembered before closing her eyes.
She woke hours later with a bad taste in her mouth and when she opened her eyes it was still dark. Not knowing what to think of course she panicked, as she worked to move around she learned she was in a box of some sort, and she could hear a few familiar voices outside of where she was. She called out but no one seemed to answer her. Surely they could have heard her, but no one listened. It wasn't until the next night she was finally released. Demanding to know what had happened, what Noko had done to her, and why she was locked in a box all day she was told. Nine years ago many of the gypsies had come down with a nasty illness, they couldn't figure out what it was, so some of their children were left with complete strangers to protect them. While the elders of the family were dying they were met by a small group of strangers. Nokomis was one of that family. The sort of outcasts that Patience had thought to be quite odd were the group. They offered her gypsy clan a way of survival. A way of immortality, and that was the 'gift' that Patience had received. However, she was young, so she couldn't be out during the day light hours. That was the reason she was locked in a box. Specially made upon the turning of a vampire, and kept for all those who could not yet be around in the day. After the explanation Patience's life seemed to go more or less back to normal. What she knew became routine. During the day she would be kept in a box while the elder vampires (Nokomis' clan) moved them forward, if the felt the need to move on. If they didn't they kept watch so that the others would remain safe. Then at night, she was granted her freedom, at least as much as she could have.
Patience fed on cattle mostly, even drank sheep's blood. Whatever was plentiful where she was at the time. As the years went by she learned new ways to adapt to her surroundings learning of her gift of precognition she did her part to keep her group safe from any dangers, as her predictions were never wrong, though she didn't predict things so much about people as she did about places. People still had so many freedoms of choice, it was difficult to know just where they would end up, as they adapted to their environment, so predictions about them would be a great deal more short term. After several hundred years of this life however, Patience became rather bored with her surroundings and decided it was time to look for greener pastures. Being able to finally walk in the light she decided she could make a new life for herself, so she said goodbye to those she'd known for so long, and began traveling the world on her own. She came to the new world and seemed to make use of learning every nook and cranny of it. She'd found many places that she greatly enjoyed but kept moving as there was more to see.
As she got to the California coast Patience was a bit disappointed. She had been to each of the covens and of course loved them quite a bit. Vermont with it's beautiful house, quite organized, dolls so handy. Louisiana in such a perfect community, and California right by the ocean, but none of them were quite what she wanted, quite what she needed. They were to close to people. To tied in around civilization, and that, was the last thing Patience really needed. She needed wild life, she needed nature. She could live another 30 years with one doll in the middle of nowhere. She'd have her doll for the blood when she needed, and the animals for blood when she wanted more. She hadn't found that yet however. In fact she wasn't really sure she would find that. She traveled up the west coast when she eventually found herself stopping at another ocean, at the tip of Alaska. It was perfect. She could speak to one of the coven leaders and ask them for a doll that could handle the cold, and she'd be set for at least another 30 or so years, depending of course on the age of the doll.
Settling in she made herself a perfect home. She was in the middle of nowhere really so the laws were non existent and she was free to be whom she wished. Then of course came up a proposition she almost couldn't turn down. Oil in the area. Oil was a rather important resource so of course she contacted the coven leaders for Vermont, Louisiana, and California and told them what she'd just gotten a hold of. In the process of the conversation she managed to become charge of a new coven, the Alaska Coven. The other leaders offered to help her out of course while she set up things on her end. She had to make sure that any doll or vampire who came not only knew the rules of coven living, but they knew the ropes of Alaska. The area where Patience had chosen to settle down was quite popular in the belief of other super natural beings, things such as werebeasts. So there of course was that concern, then with lighting not being near the same as it is in the other places, she would want to make sure they understood that as well. Creating homes that were safe for all her coven members, giving them extra activities, and preparing for the start of her coven.
Nuiqsut was coming along great, a few months in and things were running smoothly. To smoothly for her liking in fact. There was no excitement, nothing to bring in any interest for her, and the creatures just kept coming. Finally she said "to Hell with it" and she packed up and left. The first few weeks she lived in Alaska Summer, 'her' doll hated it, she couldn't stand the weather and she missed home. So Patience figured she'd return her home. Of course by the time she was ready to leave, Summer was not, she'd found herself a friend. The arrogant Fire Marshall Donovan McKayne The man was sure nothing on earth could intrigue him so when she learned that Summer Pierce did, she almost felt guilt when she ripped the two of them apart. Summer was her responsibility however, and by the code of the coven, even though she was leaving all of them behind. She was not about to walk away from her.
As Summer wanted they returned to California, surprisingly enough not far from Rogue Manor where Zasaksunamu and Sethos Adrastos now lived. Patience moved the two of them into a cozy apartment, the money she had made in Alaska by finding the oil, running the coven, and being the sheriff left her with a pretty pocket book, but after a few months Patience found a better offer, A Rogue's Fortune.= Categories =
