Human: In her human form Ophelia likes to change up how her hair and makeup look, but her face always looks like that of a young woman in her early twenties. Her hair, when down hangs below her shoulders, and it’s bright color helps make her green eyes pop. She is still thin, but doesn’t look -as- frail.

Both: In both, human, and fae form Ophelia wears clothes that she would wear in her act. She has taken to the carnival lifestyle and has every intention of living up to it.

Personality

Ophelia is constantly searching for herself, but she doesn’t know how. She uses obsession to define herself, and while it makes for an interesting life, it never truly accomplishes anything. She can be loyal and compassionate, to a very extreme fault, if she cares about you…and she will kill for those she cares for.

She is a woman obsessed with life and freedom but doesn’t know how to achieve her idea of a fulfilled life. Ultimately however, Ophelia is a woman of passion. Instead of allowing societal constraints and accepted norms dictate her action, she feels she is only free when she is allowed to do absolutely anything she wants. And she does so, out of passion for life.

Ons & Offs

Ons: A man with a sense of humor is important to Ophelia. He needs to be intelligent and witty, with a air of danger and mystery around him. She enjoys finding fun in everything, and enjoying life. Passion and romance are big ons for her as well.

Off: Nothing involving the bathroom please, unless it's in a steamy shower.

History

Ophelia Hart was born to Keenan and Dayona Hart in 1990. They quickly realized she was going to take to her unearthly grace like a fish to water. The moment she learned to crawl she started to tumble and roll around, and by the time she was walking her form of playing was balancing acts. Ophelia loved to “live dangerously,” falling off the back of the couch seemed more like an adventure then something that would hurt.

Ophelia ended up home schooled early on, because she didn’t like covering up her fae form, and a little girl who looks like a porcelain clown would have scared the masses. Around the age of 10 her parents finally convinced her that she needed to use her glamour, or she’d never be able to see the outside world. She just never understood why she couldn’t be herself, and so in the process of hiding who and what she was from the world, she lost herself.

Sadly, about six months before Ophelia’s fourteenth birthday, her parents were killed by some rogue vampires who thought draining a fae of its blood would make them immune to sunlight permanently. The vampires were mistaken, and because of their foolishness and covetous ways, Ophelia lost both of her parents that night. She only managed to escape because as one of them sank its teeth into her arm she managed to kill it. The death of the younger vampire’s mate stunning it long enough for Ophelia to dispatch of it as well. She ran of course, but when she was found the young girl was so distressed she couldn’t speak. After a visit to the hospital, the young woman was admitted to a psychiatric ward, and lived there for the next four years.

It was only a couple months before her eighteenth birthday that anyone showed interest in adopting Ophelia and getting her out of that place. A dwarf man, by the name of Wayne Acton, was visiting the psych ward to do a show for the children. He immediately knew that Ophelia was a fae, and she him. After spending time talking to the young woman, and dealing with the psych ward, Wayne convinced them to let him adopt Ophelia. That was how he became her legal guardian until she turned eighteen.

Because of her age, they managed to get the paperwork pushed through more quickly, and Ophelia got to go live at Wayne’s circus. It didn’t take her long to realize that she was with people like her, and she could be herself, whoever that was. She began toying with different personas and that is how The Dazzling Diamond, aerial silks performer, was born. The young girl took to the flowing fabric as quickly as she did crawling and walking, using her keen flexibility and ability to balance to her advantage. She has lived happily with the carnival for seven years, learning how to work the silks better and honing her skills. She has also learned a bit of dance, how to make balloon animals, and various other little tricks and performances to entertain the children.
