Personality
Fun loving, competitive, energetic, inquisitive, driven, friendly, thoughtful, considerate, and well mannered.  Ollie is very friendly and easy to get along with. He is always on the go, always looking for something to get into or occupy himself with (which sometimes spells trouble). He is the ultimate team player, the go-to guy that is always willing to give 120% or do whatever he can so his team can get the win. This crosses over into most things he does as his philosophy to live by is "Go hard or go home". As a result he can be the best motivator and cheerleader or the toughest competition. For those that prove themselves worthy, he's in their corner for life.

A Little Deeper

Born to an upper middle class family of a long yet mostly unexciting history (or so he thought), Oliver Mathias Olivier III grew up in a large but modest home in Weybridge. His father, also Oliver, met and fell in love with Vivian Nguyen while working for a finance company in Massachusetts. Shortly afterward, his father received a job offer that would return him to his home and so, after some convincing, he returned to England with his young bride. They had three children, two girls and one boy, and were quite happy with their quiet life.
Ollie was pretty much your average kid. He was inquisitive and energetic, and loved to track dirt through the house. Much to his father's dismay, while Ollie was a bright kid, he showed an obvious lack of interest in his studies and instead took to athletics. His father did not dislike his involvement in athletics but was concerned that his son would not do well enough in school to follow in his foot steps the way he had followed in his father's before him. Eventually they reached an agreement where Ollie was to perform at a certain level in school to be permitted to play on his various teams and that seemed to get him to settle down a bit.
When his sister, Lucinda, first went away to magic school he'd had no clue that a magical community even existed. He only thought a strange man had come with an acceptance letter to some special school for artistic kids or something. Lucy wasn't entirely pleased at first, he could see that much, but her parents wanted the best for her and after some negotiation (which Lucy certainly got the better end of) Lucy was off.
Two years later, the same gentleman then appeared with a letter for Ollie. At first he was confused because he distinctly remembered the man but Ollie wasn't as artistic as his sister. He was well and truly blown away when he learned magic existed and that he was to become a wizard. Of course, that was before he found out it was just like regular school, except with maybe slightly more interesting labs. Still, he did study hard to be proficient since it was an agreement he had reached with his father, and his father did take his agreements seriously—there were written contracts that were signed and dated and stipulated punishment for non-compliance. Still, that agreement only reached so far. It was when Ollie learned of Quidditch that he took pains to make sure he always made satisfactory marks so he could make it on to Hogwarts. It is his goal to play chaser for a house team! He just has to learn to ride a broom first.
Worst Memories: When he was 8 his friends dared him to go into a snake house (the door was unlocked) and then closed the door on him and refused to let him out... it happened to be feeding time.
Best Memories: The day he got Tink -- Tinkerbell found Ollie near the beginning of the summer when he and Lucy accompanied their older sister in her search for the perfect pet for her boyfriend. Ollie had been sitting on a bench inside a small pet shop while his sisters looked around when he felt the oddest sensation creeping up his leg. Glancing down he was startled to find the smallest little kitten clawing her way up his pant leg. At first he could do nothing but watch as this obvious runt pulled herself up his leg, and then she meowed at him rather loudly for possessing such a little body. Ollie took hold of the tiny kitten and held her up before his face. After a moment of the strangest eye contact he'd ever had with an animal, the little one attacked his nose and he was hooked. Of course, when he attempted to purchase her, the shop keeper was surprised to see him with the kitten and tried to get him to buy another, "one that will live" he said, indicating he didn't believe the runt would last much longer but Ollie wouldn't take no for an answer.
His first kiss on the last day of school the previous year.
