Danny has dark brown hair which almost appears black when the sun does not shine directly upon it. Although she is in the habit of changing styles fairly often, whether if wearing it in braids or even pulled back into a ponytail, she mostly keeps it loose and flowing around her face. Her hair at times falls to the middle of her back but every now and then she cuts it into a bob hair style.

Appearance
Danica is of fair complexion. Her tanned flesh is easily bruised due to its sensitivity and she is quick to burn if she remains out in the sun for extended periods of time. Of course, liberal application of sunscreen helps with this issue. There are some days where is spotted with dark bags underneath her eyes because she has trouble sleeping without fitfulness each night. Most of the time, such weakness is covered by the careful application of foundation. Usually, the young witch can be found in a pair of dark blue jeans and shirt. She does not mind dressing up for the occasion if it calls for it but it definitely will not become a habit. Danny does not necessarily have a pleasant demeanor, one which attracts people by droves. And yet, she has been known to increase the charm if the payoff or if her behind is seriously threatened.
Personality
Danica has always had a difficult time trusting people, whether if they are magical folk or not. Even her own family members are treated with gloved and careful hands because jealousy and betrayal has always been an integral trait in their household. Those who had tried to slice past her hardened exterior have found themselves warned and pushed aside. Those who have continued to do so despite these warnings suffer greater consequences.

History
The Pierce Coven has always had powered branded upon its blood. Magical ability passes to all members of their family, regardless of gender, but the gift has always blazed most brightly within its women. For this reason, they have always been a coven led by women rather than men. In the dark ages, male children were not even tolerated, killed at birth, but there have been uses found for them in the modern era. Screams formed some of Danica’s earliest memories and they were not her own. Black magic has always been a central part of her family’s traditions, one which they continued to practice despite the blatant disapproval of other covens.
Competition ran fiercely within their household; each child was pitted against the other to see who dominate the other. The winner was bestowed with priceless trinkets and sweets along with the highly desired but rare affection of the elder members while the loser was chided harshly and condemned to an almost slave-like role within the household. It was a role which Danica became quite familiar within throughout the first years of her life.
In the beginning, Danica had always had the gift to communicate with the dead. She would always stare off into the distance, seeing people who others could not, or giggle in the middle of the night as if a joke had been told to her when the house was still and deathly quiet. Only when she became older, about in her teenaged years, did the spirits start to ask for favors, most of which involved speaking with those they had remaining in the living world or ensure that whomever extinguished their life’s essence before its time were brought to proper justice. Due to the negative attention these associations brought her from her non-magical peers, who could not see what her eyes saw clearly in front of her, did she begin to resist her natural calling. It was then the spirits who had always appeared tranquil and pleasant became filled with rage.
Originally, Danny only saw victims or those who a good aura still clinging to their spiritual form but not soon afterwards those who she would not hesitate to call demons began to assault her day and night.
Unlike the vast majority of her family, Danica did not feel comfortable with magic intended to only cause pain. Even still, her mother knew a great power lurked within her daughter’s body but she did not know how to make her daughter feel comfortable in the shadows. To her mother’s credit, she did not try to force such upon her but she did not encourage the practice of what she considered to be good magic either. Soon enough it became apparently to the mother that Danica was unfit for the coven and to permit her to remain would be a death sentence. Her mother took her to a nearby coven in the hopes that they would adopt her child and take her into their family as their own. To do so, her mother and she braved protective runes and other spells in order to make it to their front door. By the time her mother was within reach to press the doorbell, her entire body was covered in painful hives whilst she became weakened to the point of vulnerability. It was the first time Danica had ever heard her mother beg. Her mother’s request was rejected; too much distrust had been established between the two covens.
After watching her mother’s humiliation, Danica slowly became more receptive to her family’s ways. Love hardened her heart and eventually turned it the color of coal. Her abilities flourished underneath her elder’s guidance, permitted her to gain the respect of her peers. Once she proved herself worthy and capable, a celebration was had which ended with her being gifted with one of her family’s heirlooms. It was a symbol which meant she eventually would take the reins of the family. All was well and perhaps even happy for a time. As always, nothing beautiful lasts. Tragedy struck her family hard when a fire burned down their family home and all within it. All within it burned except her. The only reason why she had not been inside of the house at the time is because a spirit lured her out of the house. To this day, she firmly believes the magical community was behind the decimation of her family even though none of them have owned up to it. The only reason why she had not been in the house at the time is because a spirit lured her away from her bed.
Danica only has two remaining artifacts from her natural coven, a book of dark spells and the heirloom which has been in her family for over five hundred years. In order to gain access to its knowledge, her blood is required to break the relic which protects it from would-be thieves. For now, until she grows stronger, payment is always required in order for her to perform her craft, whether if it is the blood and anguish of another or her own is of little importance. As long as the debt is paid, power will be hers.
Since then, the young witch has been more of a wanderer than anything else.
