Living in California her whole life, Monica has a perpetual tan, which is only accented by her dark hair and piercing blue eyes. A young woman of average height Monica's feminine frame works to her advantage as she has curves in all the right places. Often wearing darker colors Monica's style varies depending on her mood, as does her need for glasses (She has contacts also.) The one thing that never changes is the fact that Monica always has at least two pieces of handmade jewelry on at all times, and it's not necessarily the same pieces each time. Her collection of personally made jewelry with gemstones and charms is quite expansive.
Personality
Monica is first and foremost a hopeless romantic. She is sweet and extremely down to earth. Not one to fear hanging with the guys, Monica can hold her own at a tailgate party or a Halo party depending on the crowd she is hanging out with. Priding herself on being a clique chameleon Monica can get along with just about anyone, be it the stoners, jocks, nerds, cheerleaders, band geeks, book worms, preps, or people of different ages as her. She's often described as the girl next door, or a closet nerd (as she was a cheerleader in high school.) She uses her intelligence and creative nature to her advantage whenever she can, often coming up with creative solutions to problems.

Monica has always been drawn to bad boys. Tall, dark, and handsome is how she likes them. Men who aren't afraid to speak their mind and stick up for the people they love. She's also a hopeless romantic, and is always looking for her soul mate. Intelligence is always something she looks for, and she prefers for it to be hidden by a rough exterior. Timeless, classic, fairy tale type love is what she wants. This Princess loves a Prince Charming hiding inside of what looks to be a scoundrel.
History
Monica was born in 1992 to two loving parents, Richard and Victoria Charles, in Los Angeles California. The two had already had a son named Isaac, and Monica's older brother quickly became attached to his little sister, as she did him. When Monica was 4 years old her mother became pregnant again with twins, her brother Dean Michael and her sister Sara. Even though Monica and Isaac were atleast 4 years older then their younger siblings they all became fast friends not doing much without one another.
Once Monica started school she quickly became awe struck by books. They were like different worlds inside of bound paper. As she got older Monica started to excel in reading and writing, even starting to write her own short stories. The Harry Potter books were a big favorite of hers, as well as the Eragon books. As her father was the high school history teacher where she attended school and her mother was the guidance counselor Monica pretty much had full time access to the schools library, often staying after to read while her parents worked.
It was once she started high school that Monica started to 'rebel.' Even though as she got older she realized she wasn't so much rebelling as finding herself. Growing up in a Catholic family when Monica left the Church to start practicing Wicca her mother was outraged. Her father however explained to Victoria that Monica had always been a free spirit and she was the type to follow her bliss. Hoping it was just a faze Monica's mother dropped the subject, but as Monica got older she continued practicing Victoria finally decided that it would be best to just love her daughter for who she was, and finally accepted Monica's choices. Her siblings and father had been supportive the entire time, though her younger sister was confused by Monica's choices.
Graduating as Valedictorian of her High School Monica got offers to go to many prestigious schools across the country, but opted to stay close to home, deciding to go to La Jara Community College. Her scholarships have made it easy for her to pay for school, but the commute has become rather annoying to her. Going to school for Journalism and Creative Writing, Monica spends much of her free time writing and making jewelry, which has become another favorite past time of hers recently. She is surprisingly good at it, and has started making a little money on the side by selling jewelry she makes. As her Junior year of college has started Monica has picked up a second major for an Associate Arts Degree. Though her school work load is a bit heavy Monica has still made time to start going out with her friends, finding Club Immortal to be right up her ally. Seeing the Rancho Sangre Apartments have apartments for rent, and finding the name amusing as she speaks Spanish, Monica has decided to see what a life in La Jara could hold for her.
