A man came in sweeped her up and a broom and took her to a van not far from her home. She never knew what they wanted. Spending most of the time tied up and scared. But then came the moment when her father like any real life Knight in shining armor and rescued her. The moment she saw him all her fear left, and her dread, and she only felt love, hope, happiness and knew she was again safe and that she would be going home. She had never felt more safe, loved and protected then she did in that moment. Character Information Hiding beauty Background Mina was born to her father Oliver Crosswell and her mother Jessica and an older brother Mathew .She was born a half blood, but her family and friends of the family have no problem with her or her brother. Though not all of magical society can say the same, she grew up being made fun of. But in truth she didn't care, her family loved her and that's what matters. So despite some being prejudice against her, she grew up being a happy fun loving trusting girl. Her mother and father encouraged her, and her brother always stuck up for her. "No one calls you names but me...mutt, swear one of these days you’re gonna get me into real trouble." after chasing off some punk kids making fun of her. She grew up simply and happy, the fact she had a magical family allowed for her learn of the wonderful things that were really in the world. Her strong sense of adventure, and happy attitude always made her welcome where ever she went. Her parents being middle class she never really went without, then again she was never one to ask for much. Mina was happy with the simple things in life. For the most part her childhood was normal, laughing, growing, making mistakes, annoying her older brother. Her mom and dad going on trips for their work rather often, but always came back to both her and her brother. Every once and a while they'd bring home neat trinkets they found. And her mother a historian and archeologist for magical history always had amazing stories to tell. But there was one moment, one time when she was shown that not everything in the world was as it appeared. Not everyone could be your friend, and the world could indeed be a dark place. Mina was 10 years old when she was grabbed and taken from the backyard of her home. The men tied her hands and had her blindfolded, saying she just had to behave till they got what they wanted from her Parents. What was it they wanted? Why did they think her parents had? It was the scariest time in her life. Tied up and kept in a small dark room all by herself. To this day she doesn't remember much about that time. Her mind having blocked it out, a way of coping everyone supposed. All she can really remember was when her Daddy finally came, he scooped her into his arms and said she would be safe now. She cried till her eyes burned, and didn't let go of him till she fell asleep. For months after that she'd wake up with nightmares. When she did her father would come in and rock her to sleep. But he wasn't always there, but during those times her brother would come in and hold her and tell her stories, and make her laugh till she fell asleep again. Her mom was proud of him and thankful she still had someone around that made Mina feel safe. Not all the kidnappers were never caught, between that and Mina's mental and emotional health her parents decided to move to London. Though they still own the house in France. Eventually Mina managed to get past those times, only having nightmares every once and a while now. Mainly when times are rough or she is somewhere she doesn't feel safe or know very well. It is one of the reasons she is so nervous about going away to school, but having her brother there makes her feel safer about going. During her time in the younger grades she studied hard, and always did her best. Wanting to join her big brother at Hogwarts, and do her best to join her parents in helping the world in some way. She even wrangled him into helping her study for the Owls. Which with his help, and her hard work she managed getting an O on them. Even making an O on the Transfiguration section of the Owls, wanting to study in the art of Animagus. Her dad and brother making jokes about the fact that she actually had a brain. Her mother countering with of course she does, she takes after me thankfully. The day her letter came to tell her she made it was almost the best day of her life. She tackled her brother and waved the letter high. From there they all made plans for the summer, where her older brother would take her to get supplies and she would finally be on her way to starting school. Mina was so excited she could hardly wait. Family Her father Oliver Crosswell[1] is in the ministry of magic, either something like Magical Law Enforcement Squad working through the ranks and training and is now a Auror. he was always her knight in shining armor, always kept the darkness away. If the boogie man bumped she could aways be sure he bumped back. And he always encouraged her nature, and always told her to fallow her heart. He did and it ended up making him the luckiest man in the world. They still have a war over who his favorite fedora really belongs too. Currently it belongs to Mina. Jessica Crosswell[2]her mother archeologist and historian for the Ministry of Magic. Met her husband as he was assigned to one of the expeditions she was on. Fun, creative, and the best story teller you'd ever know. Mathew Crosswell[3] her older brother Her older brother now 19, and a is going to be starting his forth year at Hogwarts. He has always looked after Mina and protected her, even as he razzes her and gives her a hard time. But he is her brother and that's his job after all. He plays Quidditch for his house and works hard in his classes, though potions were never his forte. He wants to do his best to be able to protect the ones he loves when it counts.
