Personality
Max can best be described as laid back. It is like he has been plucked from a stereotype of Southern California surfers and dropped into the Junior Wizarding Academy, the in reality he is of Norwegian descent and grew up in England, but moved to the states a couple of years ago, where he picked up surfing and got in shape. He used to be a shy kid when he was at JWA, but that has changed and the students he knew might barely recognize him. Max hardly ever gets angry, he lets insults, negativity and worry roll off his back like ocean water and has such an easy way about him that most take as indifference or laziness. |
A Little Deeper

Other students might remember Max from his first stint at JWA, where he was a student for his first two years of school. He was a quiet kid, with a mop of shaggy sandy-blonde hair. He was skinny and gangly and a little bit awkward. Max made up for it with a decent sense of humor when he actually spoke and a quick smile. All in all he was pretty unassuming, not a popular kid, but not one that was picked on all that often. At the start of the 3rd year of JWA he and his parents moved to the states, California to be more specific. It was there that he found his passion. Surfing. He spent as much time in the water as he could and turned into a beach bum and surfer. There isn’t much he doesn’t like about the beach. For Max it wasn’t just an athletic endeavor, it became almost a spiritual thing. His once constantly racing mind calmed out on the water and he felt more in touch with the world and with himself. |

She has some Veela blood in her ancestry and knows full well that her job is to look pretty and keep her eyes and ears out for any juicy gossip that could help her husband ferret out any information the spouses of dignitaries might let slip. Selkie’s parents were hippies, hence her name and it is something she often plays up so people don’t realize how smart she really is. Selkie is also quite the artist. Name: Ashley Verland Bloodstatus: Magicborn Wand: #2 Status: Max’s little sister Occupation: Ashley is Max’s little sister and a fifth year at JWA. She has all of the looks of her mother and her brains. She loves her brother dearly, but doesn’t understand his laidback and lazy ways. Ashley is a driven girl to whom social status is very important. She has always been one of the popular crowd and doesn’t understand how Max couldn’t give to who his friends are and how that affects him in the eyes of his peers. |
