Religion

Marduke is the god of justice, and the god of fishermen. He bound Cthulhu at the dawn of the present age, and enabled the development of human civilization. Marduke often appears as a gigantic man holding a trident and net, and often personally appears when communities are threatened by monsters of the deep.

Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Symbol: Silver Net

Signature Weapon: Trident

Temples: The temples of Marduke are invariably located close to water, and often function as a courthouse and market in addition to a place of worship. Priests of Marduke generally do not give much aid to outsiders, and maintain a very tight community of faith.

Hour of Prayer: 5 PM

Domain: The Throne of Order in the Eternal City of Babylon

Panoply:

Trident of Mastery: The Trident of Mastery acts as a +5 Trident, a +5 ring of protection, and a ring of water control, except that its spell abilities can be used at will. The trident of mastery also grants immunity to spells of 4th level and lower.

Net of the Four Winds: The net of four winds is a mystical net that completely and perfectly binds a target until Marduke decides to release that target. The net is currently being used to bind Leviathan, an avatar of Cthulhu whose bondage keeps Cthulhu trapped. It is from Leviathan that Marduke extracts the teeth of Leviathan.

The Teeth of Leviathan: When cast into the ground, these mystical items perform three month of labor in the space of a single minute. Unless digging up the earth, they still must have materials to work from, but otherwise work for free. The material cost of a construction project is usually about 40% of the cost of the project.
