He has the fit, muscular build of an athlete, with toned muscles that have a wiry look. His long hair is often kept a little messy most of the time, though not from a lack of taking care of it. His skin tone is light like most of his families, and holds more then a few scars from his time in his father's pack. Like many shifers, his blue eyes often have a tendency to change color due to situation or mood, and can often be seen taking on a canid appearance even in his sheep's skin.

Personality

The first thing many people notice about Marcus is his somewhat twisted sense of humor. He can make most things into a joke without ever trying, and rarely apologizes for it afterward. It's a shame too, because this die hard cynicism masks many qualities that make him a great ally and confidant. While often hard to get close to, he's fiercely loyal to those he's allowed in. In fact, many of the traits that'd name him as an asshole are actually a cover that represses his natural leadership capabilities, something he's long fought to spite to his father's agenda.

History

Marcus's start in life was a glorious one, or it was for his father Darius and Mother Melona. He was a shining mixture of both their personalities from a young age, possessing both his mother's love of fun and trickery along with his father's gripping charisma. He seemed destined to lead the pack in his future, though all of that changed when his father's aggressive expansion of territory began to prickle the feathers of surrounding packs. Shifters are territorial by nature, so the end conclusion of such an expansion was always known. There was going to be war.

The pack wars scarred many of the clan, but Marcus failed to notice most of this growing up. He was too busy being instructed on how to lead in this war, and indeed led a band of the younger pups in raids against the surrounding neighbors. It was a shame really, as he enjoyed the conflict until the bloodshed eventually followed him home. First his sister had been direly injured by their biggest rival, an injury that Marielle reeling for some time. Enraged him and his father went against his mother's wishes in expanding a revenge plot in hopes to overtake the rivals for good.

It was the biggest mistake either of them ever made....

During the conflict it seemed they were destined to win, but the Rival Pack's Alpha would not stand for a defeat. In the midst of the clash he managed to severely wound Marcus and kill Melona, his mother, before Darius was able to put him down. It was a victory that crushed the pack for some time, one that left the forlorn Alpha in a grief that halted his expansions. Moreover, it was the first step in breaking the bonds between the pup and his father.

Marcus began to hate his old man in the weeks that followed his mother's death. While his injuries healed, he couldn't help but think of his mother's words of caution and how his father had thrown them to the wind. It was easy for him to blame his own thirst for revenge on his father's zeal as well. As the bones mended, this warped further into his mind. It was the expansionist mindset that allowed his mother to die, or so he was convinced by the time he was able to move and begin his duties once again.

The final straw was when Marcus's father attempted to his use his sister to strike an alliance, at which point he felt he could no longer stand for any of it. Speaking out against his father did not end well, and when the smoke cleared, Marcus found himself leaving the pack he'd always followed. The one he'd been taught from birth that he was to lead some day. Pride alone kept his father from coming after him, and so it was that he wolf made his way on his own through the changing scenery in north america.

For a long time Marcus drifted as a lone wolf, bitter and resentful of clan life. That was until he met someone, a person that reminded him of what it was like to live in a pack. It reawakened a long dead side of him, and once awakened he was unable to bury it again. The anger and hatred had just diminished too far. It was some time after this he arrived in Vermont, the first place he found where he could smell the scent of kin. It's here that the wolf began trying to find a place of his own again, and while he's been away for a time on something of personal business, he's returned to find a much different place then he remembered.
