Kyle is a handsome man with an average build. With dark features and piercing brown eyes, he can appear intense and inquisitive.
Personality
He can be a very quiet and often keeps to himself. Much of this comes from learning about being a were-creature on his own when he was a teen and having to keep it a secret. He has become a successful businessman, which plays into his personality in that he can be very analytically, able to see opportunities in complex situations that others grow tired of. To him, its a game to see how he can gain from any situation. The more elaborate or complicated, the better. He enjoys puzzles and mind games that can keep his intelligence engaged.
He is a bit of a high-roller due to his success. Some could say he's conceited, but he would disagree. He's merely and intelligent opportunist in his mind. He's had an opportunity to dabble in the lifestyle of a playboy, but found it unfulfilling. While he is certainly fond of beautiful women, he has never found the rare combination of beauty and intellect both on the same level.
His fond of rare wines and has a collection of rare weapons and antiques. Somewhat showy and flashy when it comes to displaying his success, he can be seen by some that don't know him as conceited. He makes no apologies for his success, feeling he has earned it all. Though many of his business dealings have been seen as elaborate schemes, they are all legal. History
Born of parents that are both were mountain lions, he only has the vaguest of memories of them. He was placed into foster care at the age of 2 1/2 when his sister was born. As a foster child, Kyle hit the foster parents jackpot. His foster parents were loving and caring and successful.
Kyle has attempted to find out what had ever become of his birth parents, especially given the fact that he believes they are like himself, were-creatures. He felt strange, alone and very afraid of what happened to him as he blossomed from adolescence into adult-hood. Its a secret that he kept hidden for a long time, and still keeps this fact from his foster parents who still run the family business.
Kyle wished for some kind of connection with his family, perhaps his younger sister, or any other siblings he might have. Searches through birth certificates and public records have been unfruitful. He is completely unaware that his sister is indeed alive and well, a bit of a drifter in the world who's foster name was changed to Pascale Dumoulin.
His foster father is a quiet observer of laws and regulations, watching them unfold and exploiting them for gain. He and Kyle both see the business world as a hunting ground and as a quiet opportunists, they are always waiting to pounce.
His father started in business after observing the operations of a grocery store. He began brokering simple coupons and retail promotions, making it into a lucrative business. The premise was to funding pools of money for promotional programs such as coupon, buy-one-get-one deals and the like. It seemed mundane and full of paperwork that was a hassle for manufacturers and retailers both. However, establishing a clearing house for these programs brought both sides together. Meanwhile, the pools of money were paid up-front to the clearinghouse and paid out slowly over time as products were sold, leaving the clearinghouse plenty of time to enjoy the float of capital. Kyle used the same principal and at 21 convinced his father to launch "Walsh Bucks" a brand of gift cards in California that operate on the same principal, enticing buyers to participate by giving them a small multiple on their cards invested, paid for by interest earned in the pre-funded pool of capital. The program was an instant success.
Kyle never stopped learning how to exploit programs from his fathers expertise. He continues to operate the business with his father and has launched even more elaborate programs. Finding a need for legitimate exotic hardwoods such as ebony and rosewood and pearls that fell under massive and complex environmental regulations by multiple governments. Kyle ventured into the import business, again collecting prefunded contracts for sourcing these items and acting as a clearinghouse for the mountains of paperwork that most find too complex.
This business has allowed Kyle to travel extensively. As a hobby, he began importing and exporting exotic weapons and other antiquities. He has found that there is a market overseas for American historical weapons from the civil war. He trades these items for authentic exotic swords and weapons from all over the world, consolidating shipments of woods and pearl with antiques, brokering sales to other collectors.
The family business operates on simple mechanics of using others peoples money for extended periods of time, essentially borrowing the capital for free allowing them to invest in ever more expensive items in greater volume. The latest business dovetails nicely, offering commercial insurance on shipping containers.
Their dealings are all legitimate and usually involve regulatory complexities that many would prefer to avoid. The mountain of paperwork, the prowling ground for the family to exploit for their own gain.
Meanwhile, as a were-lion, he finds solace in the hills of California, feeding like the opportunist, enjoying the hunt, much like in the expanding business. He has recently come to find that others in the area exist, like himself. Only recently has be allowed others to know of his secret in the town of La Jara.
