Personality

Around people she doesn't know, JJ can come off a bit intense. She is undoubtedly a fighter and holds on to a lot of anger but she is not mean or malicious. She's not the most trusting soul but once she gets to know you however, she's generally much warmer. She can be playful, even downright silly, and is generally easy to hang with. Once crossed though, she might forgive but she never forgets. Those in her inner circle have a friend for life. JJ is incredibly intelligent by both muggle and wizard standards. However, she is a mediocre to poor student since she becomes easily distracted or just plain bored if not properly challenged. She also has some issues with authority figures.

A Little Deeper

JJ grew up in a two parent household that from the outside looked positively perfect. She had everything a kid could need, lived in a big house, her mother was seemingly attentive and her father went to work and returned home every day in time for dinner together as a family. The truth is though, that JJ's mother is more than just attentive. She is domineering and controlling and always seems intent on forcing her to be perfect in every way, building a lot of resentment in her daughter. Perhaps most distressing is the fact that JJ is a metamorphmagus... just like her mother. Their relationship is rocky at best and it seems now that her mother has taken ill, things are only getting worse between them. By contrast, JJ's father is loving and often tries to overcompensate and play good guy to her mother's bad guy which only results in even more tension in their household, leaving her often seeking ways to just escape. Getting into JWA was neither good nor bad to JJ. Since she had first displayed her abilities as a metamorphmagus in infancy her parents already knew she was a witch, and JWA was pretty much expected. It didn't help that when she was 10 her family moved to West Sussex so that her dad could begin working on expanding his resorts and hotels into England, placing her squarely within Hogwarts (and JWA) territory. She did enjoy getting away from her mother on a daily basis though and as such tended to linger at school as long as she could. Her grades aren't the best, which is another source of tension with her mother, and lately she's been getting into more and more trouble, her latest escapade landing her in some trouble with muggle law enforcement. Her mother has since issued an ultimatum: either she shapes up in time for Hogwarts or she'll be sent to live with relatives who will cut her off from the muggle world almost entirely.
