Short haircut for morning simplicity. Brunette hair with hints of blond on the outskirts as well as on his eyebrows, hinting he used to be blond naturally. Infectious smile, but hardly does so. Bright green eyes that stand out amongst his light toned skin. Around 6’3 to 6’4 inches tall, built like a football player, but never played and doesn’t train too much, so his physique is not perfect, only some muscle definition. He isn’t the fastest runner or the strongest guy, but due to a weight problem in high school, he can squat more than most men.

Personality

Jake is a shy and quiet guy, the one that always sat in the back of class, but then set the curve. He is not too fond of being a store front pharmacist due to his abilities sometimes being out of control, but for the quieter, lower political environment he wants the job suits him. Although he is shy and quiet, he won’t stay out of a conversation if he is invited in. He is often seen as somewhat of a nerd because of his random facts of knowledge that he can use in conversation as well as obscure references. For those who are his close friends, he is known to be quite funny and often sarcastic, but his circle is kept small and tight knit. Most of the time he keeps a tight cap on his emotions, which has kept him from accidently doing damage with his abilities, but he knows he needs to becomes more trusting and just needs someone to pull that out of him.

History

Jacob was born to a set of parents that were a part of a cult. His birth took place not in a hospital, but in one of their ceremonial chambers, where through some rituals, Jake was altered into what he is now. He may or may not be human, but he believes he is having no recollection of the ritual that marked his birth; all he knows is that when he was growing up he was alone. His parents died as part of the ritual, sacrificing their lives so he ended up in the foster system.

At a relatively young age, he was adopted by a middle class couple that molded his character into a good man. It was not until he was 12 years old that his abilities began to manifest themselves and he fought to hide them, driving him into despair and solitude. After an argument with his mom, his he lost control of his power and threw a vase in her direction, which marked the times when his parents began helping him cope with his abilities.

Over the course of years, the fear of his abilities and his physique as well as analytic mind led him to be a pariah, having only a few close friends that he still hid his powers from. Through his self-induced solitude, and feeling that he was betraying all of his friends by omitting the single coolest and scariest part of his life, Jake sunk into depression. When he graduated from high school and went to college, he kept in contact with his friends, but eventually those friendships faded as college life took priority.

Due to depression and a difficult major, Jake limped through college until he eventually got his BA in biochemistry. His senior year, he decided he was tired of being alone and a virgin, so he set a workout regimen to lose the weight and fix his depression, eventually reaching his goal his last year of grad school. With a degree in pharmacology in hand and a new outlook on life, Jacob found a home and job in the community of Sommerfield.
