He assumes muggleborn (and is actually correct in that regard) School: Junior Wizarding Academy Boggart: A Copper ready to pinch him. Likes: The ladies. A bit of a drink. The absolute quiet of the wee hours of the morning. The thrill of the chase (in more ways that one). No, lunch! Ok, ok, Charms Favourite Professor: Prof Crosswell, rawr... Family Pets: Not a one. He secretly hopes to have a rat for a familiar someday, as he finds it a bit fitting considering his life style. He hopes he will be able to get a familiar someday when he attends Hogwarts, but seeing as he will still most likely live in the orphanage when on holiday, he is not sure how that will work.

Personality

Dodger is a scamp, a rapscallion, and a sticky fingers rogue. At least, that is what people have been telling him for as he can remember, and it has bcome so ingrained that even he believes it is true. And honestly, it is not that far from the truth. Dodger does have slightly flexible views on personal property, or at least he did since before he was discovered to have magical talent and began attending JWA. He still enjoys a bit of sleight of hand every now and then, and might nick a thing or two just for the fun of it, but magic has made those thrills seem a bit bland in the end. Despite his views on property. Dodger is a generally honest person, sometimes to a fault as he will tell you what he thinks even if it is not what you wanted to hear. Dodger is far more clever than he is smart, struggling a bit with the book learning aspects of JWA and hoping he’ll do better with the practical approach once he gets to Hogwarts. He tends to love a bit of trouble, and will sometimes go well out of his well to toe the line with authority figures, tweak noses (figuratively), and generally try to get under someones skin just to see what happens. In fact, he will do all kinds of things on the very slightest of whims, just to see what will happen. He prefers to think of this as an adventurous streak as opposed to a reckless one. Jack is a foundling, and having never really been able to stick it out in fosters, has developed unseen walls around himself that keep people well out. He seems rather friendly, and outgoing even, and while he is the type of good listener that people feel alright opening up to, he always seems to avoid doing the same. Jack shares very little, if anything, about himself, usually turning things around to get the other person talking about themselves again. He rarely, if ever, trusts anyone for long, and never a person ‘in charge’ of him.

A Little Deeper

Jack was discovered as having magical talent after picking the pocket of a distracted foreign delegate just outside the visitor's entrance to the MoM. Having made a clean lift, the very young Dodger paused briefly and fatefully to examing what appeared to be the strangest coins ever in the man's...purse? Was that gold? Giving the man long enough to spot the sticky fingered little bugger, the delegate from Germany was unaware of how the laws in London pertained to such things, but thought it best to grab said child and at least get his money back. Having no part of that, Jack made off through the crowds, and alleys, easily outdistancing the man despite his longer legs and the fact that he had his cat familiar chasing the boy as well. Finding this strange enough that even he began to suspect there was more to this boy than appeared at first glance, the man finally cornered Dodger in an alleyway, only to suddenly find him a floor above and scampering up the fire escape. Giving up on getting his galleons back, the delegate instead reported the thief to the Ministry upon his arrival, and considering the boys age, words soon reached Professor McGonagall of the JWA, and not long after a few tests to be sure, Dodger was attending her school for Wizardry. Since that day Dodger has continued to live at the Trinity Orphanage, having been able to explain away his new schooling as a private school for the gifted (although he has trouble not grinning foolishly when he says it). Jack does not at all mind the walk in to the JWA each morning, as he cannot use wizard travel in so obvious a place, as walking the streets gives him his best time to think.

Family

Jack does not know who his family is. He was raised in an orphanage in London, but does not really consider anyone there ‘family’ as it is a pretty transient population (staff included)
