Appearance
Like all asari, Illarya T’Shana is elegant and graceful. Her age has granted her a luscious form, with a full chest and curves. Despite her age, however, she retains the energy and flexibility of a Maiden, and is a powerful biotic user. Though her years of adventuring are long past, she retains a noticeable muscular build, especially in her arms and legs. Her skin is a deep blue, and though she used to sport lavender facial markings, she has since kept her face pure.
Personality
A Matriarch of Illarya’s age yields experience and breeds confidence. She holds herself firmly, both in word and stance, and is accepting of different ideas, having studied the laws and history of many different races. While some saw the human introduction into the Council as aggressive, she found it fascinating, as it was a new race for her to understand, and to discover how to make them submit to her sexual dominance.
In the years of the Common Era, technology is everywhere. Illarya chooses to embrace very little of it when it comes to her profession. The link between dominatrix and submissive is between the bodies, not of the equipment. There are drugs and technologies that could easily allow her to sap a person of their will, or introduce new ways of pain play, but she finds it far more satisfying to use her own wit and wile. Otherwise, she utilizes technology as any other average person would on a normal day. Sometimes, it makes an appearance in her sessions, but only rarely.
History
Matriarch T’Shana took a liking to the ways of control and domination early in her Maiden stage, when she was 180 years old. Many species, even some rare krogan, exhibited some form of desire to be controlled and dominated sexually. The rest of her early years were spent studying the various fetishes of the other races, primarily those in the Council, but to others as well. As with most asari, she favored a wild life of exploration, dancing in bars and clubs and serving as a courtesan or escort, and going out on dangerous adventures. She was fortunate enough to land a contract with Fornax, giving the galaxy a fill of her young form and image and giving her some credibility in the galactic adult community.
During her Matron stage, she bonded with several different races, producing three daughters, and for a few more hundred years focused on raising them instead of pursing her life of sexual dominance. It was a quiet period in her life. However, late during this time she continued her study of other races, taking a great interest in the new human race and its history as it emerged into the galactic community.
Upon entering her Matriarch stage, she took up a seat as an adviser of her people on Illium, though not in the way most people think. Whereas Matriarchs usually serve as honored leaders and political advisers on Thessia, Illarya became a sexual leader. Races flock to her tower on Illium for her company, though her popularity isn't quite that of Sha'ira of the Citadel, due to the nature of her sessions. The two differ in one respect; while Sha'ira adapts to her clients preferences, T'Shana's clients are subject to her preferences. To seek out Matriarch T’Shana isn’t to just seek out sex or satisfaction; it is to seek guidance and submission to a higher power.
To this day, she remains a legendary dominatrix, and a recurring covergirl on Fornax, having appeared in multiple issues. As somewhat of a curator of old world and primitive things, new clients are usually taken aback at the simplicity of her techniques. Very few of her long, expensive sessions involve anything more modern than an omnitool or her biotics, used sparingly. She favors the simplest things: woven rope or linked chains in restraint, corporal punishment administered to sensitive areas by her own hands, and the strength of her mind as she couples with her submissives, playing with their sensations in ways they could never dream...
