Physical Description

At 5'7" and 130 pounds Harleen is quite petite, and for a woman her size she packs quite a punch. Her big brown eyes, and innocent looking features easily let her blend in with "normal" society. When playing the role as Harleen, she tends to favor more comfortable relaxed clothes. Jeans and a tank top, or for work a relaxed casual appearance.

As Harley, her choice of wardrobe could only be described as loud. The bright red and black jesters outfit she wears allows her to remain flexible while allowing her to also conceal her identity. The white face paint she wears lets her feel closer to The Joker. Her utility belt hangs at her hip, stocked full of several gadgets and items she can use to get out of tight situations and more.

Persona

Obsessed. That's one way her colleagues have described Harleen. Her desire to study the criminal mind, and more specifically The Joker, has always appeared to be a little too obsessive. She likes to dive head first into her work and tends to be the last to leave, and the first one in. She's a wonderful actress, and the charisma she holds tends to keep people from asking too many questions, and has helped her in gaining financing for some of her more interesting endeavors. She's persistent when it comes to getting what she wants, and her superiors believed she only has her career in mind when she asked to speak with The Joker.

Harley however is a complete basket case. Broken over time by The Joker in their sessions, she has come to love him, even with the mental abuse he's rained down on her. She is willing to do anything and everything to please him, even kill The Batman. She is the most loyal of his henchmen, willing to stay behind and take the fall for him in a heartbeat. She has no regard for human life, and will kill anyone who gets in her love's way. Anyone, with the exception of The Batman. She knows he is off limits. That wont stop her however from distracting him from The Joker.

Background

Born Harleen Quinzel, she grew up in the slums of Gotham. Her mother, was a stern, uptight woman who acted as if the world owed her something. To her Harleen was always a bad egg. Even after she graduated High School as Valedictorian, and well, Harleen blamed that on her no good scumbag father. A thief and all around liar, he was in and out of jail most of Harleen's life. Her bother, a dead beat father of two, was following their fathers path. Not Harleen. She wanted nothing more than to prove her mother wrong.

Through middle school and beyond Harleen put her heart into her studies and gymnastics. Wanting to better herself. When She was old enough she took several weapons training courses to better protect herself once she moved from the home she had in the slums. Shortly after graduation she was granted a scholarship based on a paper she wrote, the basis? Criminal Minds. Who better to write the paper that would give a full ride scholarship than the girl who grew up with a compulsive thief and liar.

In the years following her graduation from Gotham University Harleen took on an internship at Arkham Asylum, where some of the more notorious minds were kept. Several thesis she had written were on The Joker, and nearly every day she worked on her superiors and mentors, slowly convincing them she should be the one to analyze and work with The Joker. It took a couple years but finally she'd worked her way up enough that she was given the chance.

At first things were going as well as one could expect. He didn't open up at first, but slowly, she worked his trust and seemingly gained it. Her sympathy for him grew however as he began to "open up" and reveal the struggles of his childhood. Eventually moving to seduction Harleen found herself falling for the man and despite everything she had been told, everything she'd been warned about regarding him, she started to trust him. Love him. Eventually agreeing to help him break out.
