Appearance

Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Weight: 110 Height: 5'8" Physical Description: Felicity is an attractive young woman with the willowy, feminine body of a dancer, whose demeanor demonstrates a certain innate grace and sense decorum. She has thick, sable hair which she often wears up and her clothing is classic in style, perfectly tailored but not too revealing. Her most distinguishing feature are her full lips which need only a little gloss to attract attention. Her expression is often pensive, a little distant, as she's not the most extroverted person but her face lights up for her friends. Other Distinguishing Features: None really although anyone familiar with muggle culture would recognize her accent as very upper class.

Personality

Cultured, intelligent, cautious, fair-minded, thoughtful Felicity is not very demonstrative which leads some to think she is cold but in fact she is simply very selective in whom she confides her thoughts and feelings. She tries to reason her way through most things and is serious in her studies though it can't be said she knows yet what she wishes to do -- though she could easily live the rest of her life off her family's money she's determined to find something in life that's her own. She's affectionate with her friends, again in a slightly reserved fashion, with the full measure of her feeling coming out only in her dancing and in other private moments. She may not be the warmest person but she generally tries to be of assistance to those who may need help or are being treated unfairly.

A Little Deeper

History: Felicity grew up in the wealthiest of households, the youngest daughter of blue-blooded family that can be traced back for hundreds of years. Her father holds a title and a seat in the House of Lords and additionally is quite a skilled investor under which the family fortune has grown despite economic times. Felicity grew up a privileged and pampered child with private tutors and ballet training from an early age. She was completely unaware of the magical world until she received her notice to JWA, having displayed no real magic of her own, just a keen mind and talent for learning. Her father embraced this revelation, assuming any daughter of his would rise to the top of any facet of society she was involved in and he was anxious to see if there was any money to be made there. As a result there was little discussion on whether or not she would attend and off she was sent. JWA was a misery. She did not exactly embrace the wizarding world which was alien to her and it did not embrace her. She came to the attention of a group of pureblood students who felt she didn't know her place and things soon escalated. She became withdrawn and introverted, overly cautious, a condition that did not change until she attended Hogwarts in her second year. She continues to excel at academics but is also beginning to come out of her shell, for the first time making friends and other connections among the students. She still has the expectations of her family weighing on her as well as the challenges of adjusting to the wizarding world but she is beginning to make her own path now. Worst Memories: Witnessing her father carrying on with one of his many mistresses then trying to tell her mother about it and being told to be silent and not speak of it. Family

Father: The 9th Baron of Ravensworth, Edmond Carleton Devereaux III. He would say his ability to sail through financial crises is due to his skill but there are whispers he has other ways which aren't entirely legal of protecting his fortune. Nothing has been proven of course. He's a man who has high expectations of his family and simply does not accept them not being met. Mother: Mary-Elizabeth Graham Devereaux -- Mary-Elizabeth stays very busy and has generally devoted herself to being the perfect society wife. Mary-Elizabeth's grandmother, Elizabeth Margaret Graham, had a falling out with her sister Heather Anne when it was discovered that Heather Anne was a witch and was ostracized from the Graham family. Felicity is not aware of this and would be surprised to learn there is a witch on her maternal side. Siblings: Older Brother - Edmond Carleton Devereaux IV aka E.C. -- chip off the old block, following in father's footsteps Older Sister - Grace Elizabeth Devereaux -- head of a newly formed charity to fund education in poorer areas of southeast Asia
