Olivanders Wand Shop

[Ollivanders] Stubbornly refusing to retire, Garrick Ollivander trained his nephews in wandlore. They are adept in transfiguration as he is, Ethan being an animagus. When he is not working in the store it is usually one or the other of these two that will assist in any wand purchase. Ollivanders Wand Shop in South Side, Diagon Alley, London, is owned by the Ollivander family and had been run by and large by an older family member Garrick Ollivander, known only as Mr. Ollivander. Of recent times he has had his young assistant, his great great grand nephew Ethan Ollivander. The younger Ollivander has brought much in the way of exciting new cores and woods to use while the old and very wise Mr. Ollivander continues to do what he has always done best. He has been serving as the family shopkeeper at least since the 1930s, and remembers every wand he's ever sold. The Ollivander family are widely acknowledged to be the best wandmakers in Britain, and rank among the finest wandmakers in Europe. Wandmaking has been the family business since 382 B.C.

Quality Quidditch Supplies

[Quality Quidditch Supplies] A more detailed compendium of brooms can be found HERE These brooms were all released (for our game purposes) after 1998 - for those who wish to own older brooms a list of those canon types can be found HERE[/center] Quality Quidditch Supplies is a store in North Side, Diagon Alley. The family of Krums come from a long line of Quidditch Players, one of note being Victor Krum, the shop owner's brother and best friend. While Gregory did not stick to his pureblood roots he loves his wife as if she were his world. The two have been running the shop since he graduated from Hogwarts and met Isobel. The Quality Quidditch Supply store is well known and very highly recommended to all serious Quidditch players at Hogwarts. Those who enter will find nothing but the best in quality and craftsmanship as they do in the QQS. Gregory and Isobels three children all attend Hogwarts now and though none of them have found their way on the team they are still encouraged to hold Quidditch up in a high degree. Gregory spends much of his time working on Brooms and repairing them while his wife runs the shop and answers questions as she can. She may be a muggle but she knows a good deal about the brooms and equipment from the 18 years she has been working there along side Gregory.

Slug & Jiggers Apothecary

The store was established in 1207. Is now owned by one of the few remaining descendents of the original owners. Both men it is rumoured were on the run and changed their names to Perigwen Slug and Geoffrey Jiggers - the names a weight of measurement used in apothecary at the time. The current owner is simply known as Old Man Jiggers and permanently smells of stinking eggs and rotten gillywig, his finger tips were a strange green colour. The store sells all manner of everyday, strange and sometimes rare ingredients for potion making as well as potions themselves. The proprietor also makes up potions / brews / concoctions and tinctures.

Flourish & Blotts book store

The bookstore was established in the early 15th century but has always since then been run by a member of either family. Now in the hands of Mr. Thadicus Blotts and Mrs. Matilda Flourish, both take turns to run the store. Matilda opting to stay more and more at home of late due to old age. Thadicus Blotts of a significant age himself (87 years) has no thought to retire yet and leave the store in the hands of the younger generations of Blotts or Flourishes. Meticulously well groomed, gruff in manner but also quite pleasant once time has been taken to get to know him better.
