Fae-Elves
Enniya Featherglade is a Delver and a fae-elf.
Some say elves came from eladrin who came from the sidhe and greater fey. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't for too much time has passed for any but the oldest beings of the world to remember such truths. Fae-elves know they were not the origin, but instead the fruits of a uniquely intimate affairs between a group of elves and fae. From that decadence they spawned. With greedy curiosity for both the wonders of mortal world and the pleasures of Fae realm, the fae-elves did not fully commit to either world. Instead, they've remained on the border, building their villages near the secret paths between worlds. Sometimes on this side, sometimes on the other.
Like their ancestors, the fae-elves too love both worlds. Though they have their own noble traditions that follow with being a race of long-lived elves, they're generally more whimsical and ditzy due to the fae-blood. Of their fellow elves they find most in common with tribal wild-elves. Since their values and motivations are a bit skewed from most mortal races they find difficulties garnering respect or participating in mortal politics on a larger scale. After all, who would respect ruler of a nation who goes to war simply to fuck a princess and does war by sending birds and little critters to terrorize the denizens of an enemy castle? Not many. However, since fae-elves are in the end mortal and their bodies bound to cycles of life and death, rather than the strange cycles of ethereal seasons within Fae realm, they are rarely able to fully connect with the most ancient denizens of of the otherworldly forest.
In appearance fae-elves are all humanoid and possess bodies of roughly similar proportions as their fellow elves. Other than that their appearance can vary greatly. Some possess skin of various colors influenced by the fae-realm, others fur, and most at least some animalistic features similar to those once carried by different types of fae. Due to the drops of satyr and nymph blood in their ancestry the fae-elves obviously come in every sex imaginable (NSWF).
Fae-elven society is fickle and in constant shift. Bargains and pacts are as binding between fae-elves as those between mortal and fae. The elected Ruler of the village is usually the one with cleverest contracts with most powerful individuals. Disputes are handled however the participants or onlookers deem best with an argument, a kissing contest, a race to see who first finds a yellow flower, or sometimes (rarely) even a duel to the death. Unsurprisingly, fae-elf culture is quite a bit more hedonistic than the average elven society. Most of the time people really do whatever they feel like, taking a week's break from their work to go bathe in a nymph pond, or adventure in the mortal realm. This has led to villages being pretty bare bones structures usually created with magic rather than actual honest work. The only thing fae-elves eve really bother creating themselves are good foods, drink, art, and entertainment.
