At 5'4", Dani is proof of the saying that big things come in small packages. Far from being considered tall and blessed with a soft, curvaceous figure, few people would look at her and guess that she works in construction, nor that her duties go far beyond the occasional repair. Her clothes, however, do tend to err more toward the style of someone who spends most of their time pursuing blue-collar paths, usually ranging from jeans faded after years of wear, and tshirts or tanktops, usually mens, but cut and tied off to fit her smaller frame. Her feet are dainty but almost always encased in steel-toed boots, and unless she's off the job, she's usually wearing a tool belt of some nature. Dani has bright blue eyes that are quick to reflect the smile she usually has on her face, and holds and carries herself with the confidence of someone who has spent their entire life embracing their true nature. Her hair is long and made up of wild waves and curls, falls to the small of her back and is often tied up in a messy bun or ponytail to keep it out of her face. Her nose is pierced, and she usually keeps a medical-grade stainless steel ring in the piercing. She has long since sworn off any type of silver, as she doesn't want to risk Takoda coming in to contact with it and hurting himself.

Dani is a stubborn perfectionist who accepts nothing less than the very best of herself and those around her. Type A almost to a fault, when she has a problem or a project infront of her, she's like a dog with a bone... she won't stop pursuing it until it's done, and done correctly. In spite of this, however, she has a genuinely good heart, and is the type to sacrifice for those she loves, even if the list of those she loves seems to becoming a smaller and smaller list as the years go by and she outlives them all or has to move on, leaving them behind to keep from arousing suspicion by her barely changing youthful look. Singularly devoted to her familiar, Takoda, she'd do anything to take care of him and see him happy. Aside from her job, Dani's passions in life range from good food to good music to pickup trucks. A country girl at heart, she loves country and rock music, can keep up with the most complex of line dances, and thinks food is best when slathered in BBQ sauce. She's been designing a dream home for herself and Takoda for the past two years, coming up with wholly new ideas all the time and never quite happy with her sketches and designs. Dani takes betrayal exceptionally hard, and is unforgiving when someone betrays her trust.

History
Born in 1973, Daniella Bryant is the only child of Dwight and Martha Bryant. Dwight took over the family ranch in Utah when a heart attack left his father unable to keep up with the burden, and the young couple began what would turn out to be a tragically small family together on the land that had been in the Bryant family since the founding of the United States. Unknown to either Dwight or Martha, Martha had inherited a genetic condition that left carrying children to term near impossible. She suffered through several miscarriages before a pregnancy finally lasted beyond the first trimester, and that pregnancy resulted in their daughter Daniella, a blue eyed, red haired baby girl that grew up to be more like the boy her father had dreamed of than the girl her mother had hoped for. Her childhood was a happy one, with neither Dwight nor Daniella aware of the fact that Martha was a witch.
Dani grew up under the guidance of both parents, but her father, uncle, and grandfather's example that most influenced her. She learned to work with her hands and developed a love for creating things from concepts on paper and in her head. She was using a hammer and nails while most children were still playing dress up and learning to ride bikes, and was even hunting when most little girls were begging for dance lessons. Perhaps the only thing her and other little girls held in common were their love of horses, though instead of asking for a pony for her birthday, she was learning to barrel race and deal with wild horses in need of training.
It wasn't until Dani's magic became active that her mother divulged her secret to both husband and daughter and Dani's life shifted dramatically. Her mother taught her all she could and was there when Dani was given her Focus by a Navajo shaman. Her mother taught her how to mix the technology of the time with magic, and Dani figured out ways to combine that magic with her greatest passions... tapping in to power tools as they advanced through the years. She left home when it became impossible to hide the fact that she wasn't aging as fast as she should be, and took jobs on numerous construction, remodeling, and carpentry teams. Sometimes she was working on office buildings, other times she was building custom hand-made furniture.
It was on one of these teams that she met Takoda Ryder, and while they were simply coworkers for two years, the two slowly grew closer until there was no way to push aside their growing interest... or feelings. They not only became lovers, they also went in to business together at that time, something they'd been discussing for nearly a year before making their decision. After being lovers and business partners for three years, she made him her familiar and bound them together for the rest of their lives. It's been five years since they started their business, and they are growing one of the more successful but still small custom home and remodeling businesses one can find, cultivating a reputation for personal service and connections with their clients that others do not have. They also buy old houses and fix them up before reselling them, and have become wealthy enough that if they chose to, they could live a lavish lifestyle and leave the business to be run by employees. Instead, they run the business (and do most of the work) themselves, hiring on small crews of other supernaturals wherever they end up going for a job, ensuring that their covers aren't easily blown and helping the supernatural community, where it can often be hard to put down roots because of the worry that humans will notice them.
They travel the US together, usually driving themselves, and in spite of belonging to no coven, they have a favorable reputation with most of the major ones in the United States, and are even somewhat vaguely known in the UK after traveling there to do a house remodel for a supernatural client who was willing to pay quite a bit for their personal service and ability to meet physical needs human contractors wouldn't be able to understand.
