Constructions
Building Construction Costs:
- Wooden Building: 2sp per square foot (6 inch thick walls. Thickness cannot be increased.)
- Stone Building: 5sp per square foot (1 foot thick walls. Thickness can be increased for an additional 1sp per square foot per foot of thickness.)
Fortress Construction Costs:
- Barbican: 4,000 gp (Super defensible gatehouse, or standalone fortress)
- Bartizan Tower: 300gp per 20 feet of height (10 foot diameter)
- Catwalk: 1sp per square foot (used if walls cannot support soldiers)
- Ditch: 5cp per square foot. (10 feet deep. By doubling the cost per square foot, may be an additional 10 feet deeper. Used to determine cost of underground complexes. Must be at least 2 feet wide. Decreases the cost of adjacent ramparts by 80%)
- Drawbridge: 400gp
- Gatehouse: 2,000gp (30 feet high, contains 2 reinforced doors with a portculis in the center)
- Moat: 25cp per sqaure foot. (10 feet deep. By doubling the cost per square foot, may be an additional 10 feet deeper. Must be at least 6 feet wide)
- Pallisade: 1gp per foot of length. (Wooden wall 10 feet high.)
- Portculis: 500gp
- Rampart: 1gp per foot of length. (Earthen wall, 10 feet high by default. May be 10 feet higher for double cost.)
- Reinforced Door: 100gp
- Road: 50gp per mile
- Round Tower: 60gp per foot of diameter (minimum 5 feet, 20 feet tall by default; for an additional 5gp per foot of diameter, may increase height by 10 feet.)
- Secret Door: 50gp
- Square Tower: 50gp per foot of side length. (Minimum 8 feet; 20 feet high by default; for an additional 5gp per foot of length, may increase height by 10 feet.)
- Trapped Door: 2gp (Appears to be a door, but does not actually go anywhere; trap costs extra)
- Wall: 1gp per square foot (20 feet high by default; for an additional 1gp per square foot, can by 10 feet higher.)
Example Building Costs:
Cottage: 120 gp (600 square foot house of wooden construction)
Modest House: 650 gp (1,800 square foot 2 story house, first floor of stone)
Manor House: 2,300 gp (11,200 square foot 4 story house, first floor of stone)
Stockade: 3,000 gp (200 foot diameter stockade on a 10 foot rampart dug from a 10 foot deep ditch with 12 10 foot by 10 foot firing platforms. A 30 foot high 9,600 square foot wooden "Keep" sits in the center of the bailey)
Keep: 4,500 gp (40 by 40 by 40 stone building with 3 foot thick stone walls.)
Barbican: 5,000 gp (2 towers and a 30 foot radius wall, 2 heavy catapults and a moat)
Wizard's Tower: 6,000 gp (160ft. tall tower, 40 feet in diameter. 18,000 sqaure feet.)
Castle: 15,000gp (Square castle 100 feet on a side with 20 foot high/10 foot thick walls, moat, gatehouse, 60 foot tall 12,500 square foot keep, 4 heavy catapults and 8 ballistae)
Citadel: 60,000gp (600 foot long hexoganal castle with 20 foot high/10 foot thick external walls, 6 30 foot high square towers, a 100 foot sqaure inner bailey with 40 foot high/20 foot thick walls, 4 60 foot high round towers, 80 foot tall 36,500 square foot keep fortified by bastion walls, Moat, and 2 Gatehouses. Siege engines include 3 trebutchets, 8 heavy catapults, 12 ballistae, and 20 pots of boiling oil.)
- Building a wooden construction or road takes 1 day per 100gp of cost. Increasing cost by 50% reduces construction time by 25%, and increasing cost by 100% reduces construction time by 50%. Committing 1 carpenter and/or 2 hirelings per day of construction time to the project reduces cost by 50%. Committing 2 carpenters and/or 4 hirelings per day of construction time to the project reduces final construction time by 25%. Committing 3 carpenters and/or 6 hirelings per day of construction time to the project reduces final construction time by 50%.
- Building a stone construction takes 1 day per 35gp of cost. Increasing cost by 50% reduces construction time by 25%, and increasing cost by 100% reduces construction time by 50%. Committing 1 mason and/or 5 hirelings per 10 days of construction time to the project reduces cost by 30%. Committing 2 masons and/or 10 hirelings per 10 days of construction time to the project reduces final construction time by 10%. Committing 3 masons and/or 15 hirelings per 10 days of construction time to the project reduces final construction time by 25%. Masons committed to the project must have room and board provided for them.
- Building an underground construction takes 1 day per 600 square feet dug out. Committing 4 miners to the project reduces costs by 25% Committing 8 miners to the project reduces costs by 50% Committing 12 miners to the project reduces costs by 75% Dwarves can dig out 1,000 sqaure feet of earth per day.
