Physical Description

Selina is approximately Five feet six inches tall though her usual heels while in disguise add a few inches. Her smoldering looks make her one of a kind though she usually downplays them on an everyday basis. Her usual appearance consists of dark brown hair, brown eyes, pinkish lips, and non distinct facial characteristics. She usually wears oversized clothing playing down her curvy figure as well as her toned, athletic muscles. She does not have any identifying scars, birthmarks, or radically distinguishing features making her ability to blend in remarkable.

Her disguises often range her appearance and can be anything from her usual black cat suit for blending into the night to a party dress.

Persona

Selina is quite the multiple personality. Among the people that know her as Selina, she is a mousy editor that keeps to herself. She is a nerd, the geek, and the studious that would never do anything wild or extreme. She works and goes home. Her attire is less than amazing or seductive. In fact, she would hardly catch the eye. She is shy, unassuming, and rather quiet.

The flip side of the coin is when things become outrageous. The “cat”, or catwoman, as some call her, is the complete opposite. A master of disguise, this contract thief will steal anything from anyone. She is fearless. Using her sex appeal, the cat makes sure to use her surroundings to blend in and take advantage of the situation around her. This personality is capable of being a working girl to the shy debutante on a date for the first time.

She has many setbacks in her history including a broken home. She can take several mental hits and will take anything to a certain point. However, even the toughest crumble and her defenses tend to take more damage depending on the circumstance and vulnerability.
• Curiosity: She is innately curious about anything and everything. It is often what gets her into certain situations. After all, “curiosity often kills the cat”.

Background

Selina Kyle grew up on the wrong side of town in a broken family. The education of the streets taught her to be wily and how to survive but the lack of support from a family caused some emotional issues that lead to some weak points in her mind. She made the dual personality in order to have more control over her own circumstances. She began conning people to afford food as a young teenager.

In her early twenties, after conning her way through college, a con man thought to try to con her instead. She used her knowledge of his superstitious nature to turn it back on him. Selina went to a fashion designer friend who helped her create the streamlined feline black leather outfit in order to blend. The cat ears were added to play on the “never cross a black cat” superstition. After turning the con around, rumor got around and people called her “the cat” or more aptly “Catwoman”. The black leather suit is used as a utility to allow her to easily get around in the night and in tight spaces without catching onto objects. The rumor around town is now never to “cross the black cat.”
