Personality
"Life is about choices and chances. You make a choice and take a chance." Avery is reckless, adventurous, always the girl with just a hint of a smile on her lips and seems to always be plotting something. A party or get together, a little prank on one of her rivals. Avery isn't someone who would be known for being sweet and compassionate, though that doesn't mean she is cruel either. She is a social girl, and will say hi to just about anyone, isn't afraid to walk up and start a conversation with a perfect stranger either. Avery is a petite feisty little blonde woman, who very much isn't afraid to speak her mind, and is always up for trying something new. Like everyone, she has her good traits and her bad, her quirks and her pet peeves. |
A Little Deeper

Things are not perfect in the Blakesley household. Avery's parents are so wrapped up in their own wants and desires, she's surprised they even notice her anymore. Actually, she wishes her Mother would notice her a little less. Avery's mother is strong, a perfectionist and an absolute nag. Constantly after Avery about how she dresses, who she's hanging with and just about anything she can think of. Claire's obsession with what other's think, is a huge source of annoyance for her daughter. Though, Claire is known for throwing parties and other such events and inviting other wizarding families. Her Father Peter is an Unspeakable, which means he is so wrapped up in his mysterious job that he can't talk about, it's almost like he forgets that there is a reality outside of work. He's barely around, sometimes sleeping at work and when he is, he isn't the most talkative person alive. That's for sure. Things weren't always like this in the Blakesley household. Once upon a time, when her brother was still around and they were younger, her family...actually on occasion functioned like a real family. Avery actually has some good memories of those times times. Like when her father carried her on his shoulders, they were out shopping and her chocolate ice-cream was melting all over her hands and making little chocolate rivers down her arms and dripping into his reddish brown hair. Another happy memory is once when it was storming really bad outside, her mother wrapped her and her big brother in cozy blankets, made hot chocolate and read to them from one of her books. If only things like that happened still. Avery's big brother Caspian is a few years older then her, and he spent one year in Hogwarts before vanishing into thin air. Sure, Cas and her mother used to argue whenever he was home. About his duties to his family line, about how she refused to allow him the freedom to be with the muggleborn girl he liked. Keeping the family's blood from being diluted any further and the family's reputation and status means everything to her mother. More then her own children's happiness it seems. Avery supposes it's a good thing her father is more occupied with solving the mysteries of the world, then of paying much mind to blood status. Claire, doesn't seem to mind her husband's apparent lack of concern, and would insist everything she does, she does with the best interest of her children in mind. When Caspian vanished and nothing was heard of him for months, her mother finally decided that he'd betrayed the family, betrayed her. So, one day when she got home. Avery found every trace of her brother gone from the house. No pictures, his room was empty. Her mother had made it like she'd never had a big brother. She'd had troubles with her mother before, but this act changed her relationship with her mother forever. Avery and her mother have a very strained relationship, and arguments between them are very common, nearly daily in fact. While things at home can be difficult sometimes. Her family still travels to France, her mothers place of birth a lot. Sometimes when they are there, her mother relaxes and will occasionally offer up some story about her own childhood. Not every story is happy, sometime even bitter. But it's still a side of her mother she doesn't normally see. But when Avery is away from her parent's house, that's when she feels really free. Free from her mother's drive to push the family up high on the social ladder, free from her fathers silence. And most of all, free from the absence of her big brother, who really was the only person she felt really understood her. Avery loves to sing, that is really how she expresses all the complicated, troublesome emotions inside. She tries to sing wherever she can, and will happily play gigs at local establishments. It doesn't even always matter if she gets paid, as long as she can sing. She can sing any type of music, country, techno, even some opera-ish music. But her own style can be considered Symphonic Metal. (ex: Nightwish.) Avery at school: she is friendly and social. She's been like that since day one, not a shy bone in this girls body at all. She will happily go up to new kids, chat up whomever is around and doesn't really seem to care about what family they come from, at least outwardly. She keeps up with her work, and is a fairly intelligent young woman, but can get restless and grumpy with the professors, something that is happening more and more as she got older. Anyone whose spoken to her, knows how much she hates the schooling system. |

The Blakesley Family. Scientia potentia est - Knowledge is Power. Blood Purity, and the pursuit of Knowledge has always been important to the Blakesley Family. The Blakesley's are Old Blood and Old Money, and many members of the family still hold tight to tradition and believe that being a Blakesley makes you worth more then the average person. By nature, most members possess a high intelligent, strong curiosity and more then their fair share of wanderlust. These traits tend to led them to making grand discoveries, seek out ancient and forbidden knowledge or engage in dangerous potentially world changing experiments. If they don't discover amazing things, or dedicate themselves to one cause or another, keeping the family bloodline strong is also a worthy life pursuit. Also, you can be sure those who do perish do so in pretty spectacular or unusual ways. The Ministry of Magic has always had at least one or two Blakesley's roaming the halls, with a good junk of them being highly interested in the Department of Mysteries. But it isn't always knowledge on obscure topics they find fascinating, sometimes finding out the dark and dirty secrets of the other Families can be just as rewarding and useful. Father: Peter Blakesley is handsome and can easily still pass for a man in his mid thirties. Brown hair with red highlights, he has deep blue eyes. Peter is rarely seen smiling, and is always distracted. But was well known during his schooling years as a friendly, if eccentric person. Occupation, and Blood status: Unspeakable, and pureblood. Uncle: Andrew Blakesley Unmarried, and apparently keeps going missing, though no one ever worries and he always turns up somewhere. He's an explorer and curse-breaker for Gringotts. Brother: Caspian " Cas" Blakesley. Caspian is the oldest and was groomed from childhood to take over the family, but Cas had very different plans in mind. Caspian went to Hogwarts like any other young wizard, but after only a year in the school, he vanished and hasn't been heard of since. Grandmother: Adelaide Blakesley ( Rosier): Adelaide was quite the potion maker in her time, and was said to have quite a talent for creating and making some of the more difficult ones. (Pureblood) (Deceased, a potion accident) Grandfather: Luther Blakesley, an Obliviator, He took a lot of pleasure from his job, and it was rumored that he was not very fond of muggles. He was also a very well traveled wizard. (Deceased) Great-Grandmother: Nataliya Blakesley ( Vinter) A former Drumstrag student, Nataliya was known for her beautiful singing voice. (pureblood) Great-Grandfather Victor Blakesley An Auror who went bad, Victor was arrested and sentenced to live the rest of his life in Azakaban for the slaying of muggles. Great-Great Grandmother Adela Blakesley(Greengrass) Beautiful and Intelligent, she vanished on day without a trace, after helping to uncover an ancient wizarding tomb. Great-Great Grandfather Henry Blakesley, worked with the Ministry, and supposedly an excellenct wizard chess player. |

Bellerose Family. Ubi concordia, ibi victoria- Where there is unity, there is the victory. Mother: Claire Blakesley (Bellerose) She is tall, blonde and rather elegant in her appearance. She does everything within her power to raise her family's status and reputation within the Wizarding Community. She attended Beauxbaton's before moving to England and marrying. Occupation: Socialite Bloodstatus: Half-Blood Grandmother_: Arianna Bellerose (Yaxley) Pureblood, she attended Hogwarts before marrying and moving to France. She was an intelligent woman who spent much of her time with her nose in a book. (deceased) Grandfather: Finley Bellerose Half-Blood, he was an Auror and attended Beauxbatons. He was always quick with a smile and enjoyed jokes, as well as pranks. (deceased) Great-Grandfather: Auguste Bellerose.(Beauxbatons) He played professional Quidditch for France for a long time before he retired. It was said he was charming and a real people person. He was the one to shame the family and dilute the pureblood line. Great-Grandmother: Elizabeth Bellerose (Lavoie), technically a half-blood, her mother was a muggleborn witch. Elizabeth was said to have a very gentle nature, the kind of sweet soul that is a real treasure. Great-Great Grandfather: Edmond Bellerose. A Professor, he was said to have been a really serious man. Great-Great Grandmother: Aurele Bellerose ( Janvier): Bubbly and a real fun-loving person. She was said to have been a skilled cook and excellent mediwitch. |
