Astrid grew up in a highly magical influenced household even though it consisted of mostly herself and her father with a lone house elf. While magic was a large part of their life they still used many non magical methods of living. Her father loved his work with the Division of Muggle Artifacts and she often went on trips with him to visit various muggle cities. Her mother however would not have approved of that, wishing she went to see more magically influenced landmarks, and so her father took time to show her a few of those and showered her in books to learn as much as he could from them when he was busy elsewhere.
Having no siblings or other family around her she spent a lot of time in books and watching muggle television. She would read romances and watch films of the same variety which soon began her quest for her own "Mr Right". When JWA began she and her father would arrive at the ministry together each day and often times she had to wait later at the school for him to be ready to go home. Due to this she had joined many of the clubs to pass the time between.
Astrid fell in love easily with a few of the young wizards in her classes including a younger one, Sly, who she clung to instantly and believed was her happy ever after. After a short stint of dating she found herself getting extremely jealous of other girls talking to him and flirting. In her eyes he was -hers- and they needed to step off. It ended up with her staying closer to him at every turn she could, during school and during clubs. She stalked his every move and threatened girls who came near him. Eventually he ended things with the eccentric little redhead and put as much distance between them as he could. Of course she went on a rampage not wanting him to leave her. In the end she despised him and often used many zonkos items to make his life hell. Stink bombs, boil causing candies, and any other unsuspecting things he could find to make him repulsive to other girls. After two months of that she had made friends with another boy and lost interest in Sly, moving on to her next "true love". It was an endless cycle for the young witch. Heart break and jealousy were well known feelings but she never gave up.
Now at Hogwarts she has a plethora of men at her finger tips. The quidditch teams especially garnered her notice. She attends every match and most every training session she can get to. On top of her attraction for the quidditch team she has her eyes on, Finn, Andersen, Rigs and Leon in Hufflepuff house. She'd never go after Sebastian because he belonged to her friend Rachel. Then there was Ollie and Iggy in Ravenclaw, the lot of Quidditch hunks in Gryffindor, Slytherin's (her house) very own Tommy, Robert, Stefan -- oh Stefan.. he was yummy. He had been her first "adult" experience and that only made her want him more. Her courtship with Sly was nothing to how she reacted to Stefan. It wasn't until his sister Ariana stepped in and threatened to hex her into neverland did she back down a bit. She still pines for him but with so many yummy distractions around Hogwarts she soon was busy stalking after others.
Astrid loves being at Hogwarts and goes home for each holiday they are allowed and sometimes meets her father in Hogsmeade to visit and get lunch together, with permission given by those who permit such things -- which are always planned ahead of time. She looks forward to learning more magic and evolving her relationships.
