Astraea was born near the muggle town of Hatfield at Llewellyn Hall - a manor house that her father's family has owned for many years. It is one of the less populated areas in England - yet is not so far one cannot simply 'apparate' to Diagon Alley for a bit of shopping. She grew up expecting to learn magic as an Pure Blooded wizard might - with the expectations therein, and an understanding that to be of use to her parents, she had to succeed in everything she attempted - else why bother at all? While her maternal grandparents were known to have allied with the deceased Voldemort - if only in private or so they claimed to no avail - her parents took care to disassociate themselves with the uprisings and war - taking neither side in the conflict. Astraea has interests in duelling, transfiguration, and her favourite studies are the defence against the dark arts. While she often seems cold - Astraea is very affectionate toward her family, and those considered worthy of her social circle. Her mother, Libra Helene Llewellyn, is a member of the prestigious and large ranging Black, Kendrick, and Jefferies families - or infamous, depending on whom one asks. She is very skilled at playing the contrabass, and plays the violoncello as a secondary instrument, while classical guitar is a third. Her father's family is of both Welsh extraction of the very large Llewellyn pure blooded line as well as that of the famous ... or infamous - Archer family.
Worst Memor(ies): The death of her maternal cousin and best friend - Warrick Percival Jefferies - during the Winter Break of her first year at Hogwarts, which she witnessed personally. He leaped from one of the stony cliffs not far from the old Llewellyn Keep and Ruins near Cardigan Bay in Wales; Astraea was unable to stop him. Getting trapped in a self locking magical chest by her brother Hamilton as a prank when she was eight; to this day, she still has not forgiven him entirely for it.
Best Memory: Receiving her first marks at Hogwarts and her mother commenting that she was 'quite proud of her efforts'; getting Slytherin seeker for her third(and only) year, and winning both houses cup in her third year.
Favorite Animal(s): Her pet cat, Rigel, whom is a Pedigree Himalyan.

Eldest Paternal Uncle: Soreth Edward Llewellyn - he is twin to Corvus and was born five minutes after his brother. Where his brother is aloof, he is a kindly sort of man - and is one of the few in the Llewellyn clan that accepts people based upon their skill and power in magic, and not blood alone. However, like the rest of his family, he has a difficulty understanding muggles, even while he finds them strangely fascinating. Soreth was a sorted into Ravenclaw House, but he wasn't terribly interested in rivalries during his term at Hogwarts. 'Things were different then [...] we were always in fear of our lives, wondering about the doings of the dark lord,' he often says. Married to an Archer half blooded cousin - has four children. Paternal Uncle: Addison Giles Llewellyn - former Auror, deceased. Perished in First Wizarding War. Was a happy sort - and often considered 'The Peacemaker' of the Llewellyn clan. With his death, a good deal of the 'heart' went out of the family - and it took some years for them to recover. Ravenclaw Seeker during his years at Hogwarts years ago. Never married, no children. Paternal Uncle: Ian Cassius Llewellyn - works with dragons. Not married, no children. Eldest Paternal Aunt: Bernadette Augusta Llewellyn - works for the Owl Post Office in Hogsmeade. Unmarried, no children. Often spotted in The Three Broomsticks. Has straight black hair with silvering temples, and green eyes. Youngest Paternal Uncle: Asher Courtney Llewellyn - as the youngest of the children born to Andras and Anwen at 34 years old, he was spoiled relatively rotten by his parents being the last born - and male to boot. He is something of a terrible flirt and a daredevil with a sharp fashion sense for any wizard. Asher is not married, and hardly has any plans to do as such - though had strongly considered allying with his grandmother's kin. Asher is brilliant wizard - something of a jack of all trades, and enjoys flying most of all. He is known for being a random benefactor to various kin that are less well off - as there are certainly some with as many family members as they have - he likes to say. Enjoys Arithmancy as a general hobby, as well as flying, and potions. Youngest Paternal Aunt: Brianne Alexandra Llewellyn - identical twin to Bernadette, also works at the Owl Post Office in Hogsmeade. Married to a Llewellyn cousin, has one small child. Paternal Grandfather: Andras Ifan Llewellyn - a retired Auror for the Ministry of Magic; 82 years old, pure blood. He has bright blue eyes and silvering brown hair. A stern countenance, Andras has a dislike for muggles and makes that plain on a daily basis; has no wish for personal dealings with 'half-bloods' - 'What is half a wizard, some sort of odd half-man creature? Can't be born. I won't have it in my family!' However - he has little issue with serving at the Ministry or any where else, so long as they aren't wedding and bedding his grandchildren. He thought Voldemort was a nutter, and has no bones stating as much to his daughter-in-laws frustration. Paternal Grandmother: Anwen Meredith Llewellyn - a homemaker and socialite that did very little with her magic after leaving Hogwarts - though she was skilled in the healing arts. She was perfectly happy to marry and take care of her several children - Corvus is the eldest one of five boys and two girls. She lives with her husband as well at the home of one of their daughters - taking turns and spending time with each child's family a few weeks at a time. Since Andras' retirement, they spend time travelling, and were luckily abroad for most of the events that took place in the late nineteen nineties. Paternal Great-Grandfather: Brynmor Caellum Llewellyn - father to Andras Ifan Llewellyn, and his twin sister Angharad Maire Llewellyn. Wed to Branwen Tesni Llewellyn; was an Auror - like his progeny after him. Pureblooded, tied to House Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. Well known for his skill in Occulmency. Paternal Great-Grandmother: Branwen Tesni (Archer) Llewellyn - mother to twins Andras Ifan and Angharad Maire; especially skilled at charm creation and flying. Was a professor of Divination - died at age 87. Pureblooded; tied to House Slytherin. She was famous for her visions, and was known to have been quite wise, and possessed of a fiery temper. She reared her children with an iron hand; her marriage to Brynmor was at the time known to have been one of the great marriages uniting two important houses of Pure blooded wizarding families. Had very straight black hair and brilliant green eyes - Astraea takes after her in appearance, save that Astraea's hair is curly like the rest of the Llewellyn line. Paternal Great Aunt: - Angharad Maire Llewellyn - still living, is a collector of magical items and especially books. She makes it something of a hobby cataloguing the various families that are pure and half blooded in Britain. She is skilled in Occulmency like her father was. Has bright green eyes and honey blonde hair that is more silvering than blonde now. Angharad sees herself as more an Archer than a Llewellyn - though finds her great-niece Astraea to be something of a favourite of her relatives on that side of the family lines. Was also tied to House Slytherin in her time at Hogwarts many years ago. Paternal Great Grandfather: Felix Andrew Rhodes, pure blooded; deceased. Father to Anwen Meredith (Rhodes) Llewellyn, loyalties followed House Ravenclaw - skilled in healing, charms, and was known to have been a noted duellist, and seducer. Had at least three known bastard children. Paternal Great-Grandmother: Elisabeth Penelope (Jefferies) Rhodes, pure blooded; deceased. Mother to Anwen Meredith (Rhodes) Llewellyn, allied to Slytherin, skilled duellist and herbalist. Believed to have poisoned those whom crossed her and raised her ire, but this was never proven by anyone. Mother: Libra Helene Llewellyn - Works for the Improper Use of Magic Office, 38 years, pure blood. Born into one of the many winding branches of the prestigious Black family, she met and married a fellow pure blooded wizard, though took pains to keep her distance and protect her children from those she considered with reckless ideas that would endanger all of the wizarding world. While certainly no defender of those 'Harry Potter groupies' neither did she agree with subverting the law of the Wizarding Council and Ministry of Magic from within. Plainly put, she would do nearly anything to protect her family, even lie, steal and kill if need be, though admitting to would be beneath her. She has very dark hair and bright green eyes, and a pleasant face for all that she is a haughty, cold witch - and was every inch fitting to be one of those bloody Slytherin folk. Maternal Grandfather: - Grenwell (Black) Kendrick - deceased as of Second Wizarding War; 62 years old, pure blood. Former Death Eater, black hair, green eyes, second cousin to his wife, Helena. Had only two children; a daughter named Libra whom was sorted into Slytherin, and a son named Charles. Maternal Grandmother - Helena Isolde (Black) Kendrick - unknown if living or dead, last whereabouts - Azkaban; Former Death Eater, pure blood; 61 years old. Was a brilliant wizard that specialised in curses - recruited early by another Death Eater; had only two children; a daughter named Libra whom was sorted into Slytherin, and a son named Charles. Great Aunt: Heather Kendrick Jeffries - Hogwarts Graduate Slytherin House, Works in MoM Care of Magical Creatures Dept, sister to Helena -m- Theodore Jeffries (great uncle) Hogwarts Graduate Slytherin House, Works in MoM Care of Magical Creatures Dept. Maternal Great-Grandfather and Grandmother: Nigel Orion Kendrick - Pure blooded - mother was born into Black Family, father a Kendrick - Scotland via Northern Ireland. Cassiopeia Morgan Black, wife to Nigel - Pure blooded - they are parents to Grenwell, Jacob, Ginger, Phillip, and Hannah. Great Uncle: Jacob Kendrick -m- Bridget Smithfield Kendrick(Great Aunt). Great Aunt: Ginger Kendrick - Beauxbaton Graduate -m- Harold Black (2nd Cousin by marraige) Graduate of Hogwarts Slytherin House. Great Uncle: Phillip Kendrick (2nd cousin) Hogwarts Graduate Slytherin works in MoM as criminal lawyer -m- Winnifred Thornton Kendrick (2nd cousin by marriage) Hogwarts Graduate Gryffindor House. Great Aunt: Hannah Kendrick Black - Graduate of Beauxbatons -m- Briareos McDibble. They had a son (Polifemus McDibble: Age 67, pureblood, retired Auror) and a daughter (Belladonna McDibble: age 43, pureblood, lady of McDibble house, mother of Andrew Christopher Doyle). Uncle: Charles Masters Kendrick - father to Callidora, Nathan, and Vera Kendrick, brother to Libra, Graduate of Hogwarts- Slytherin House, An Auror for MoM. Aunt: Gweneth Black Kendrick - mother to Callidora, Nathan, and Vera Kendrick, 1st cousins; housewife and sociallite. Cousin: Nathan Harfang Kendrick - He works for the MoM as a Librarian in the Great Library, former Slytherin at Graduation from Hogwarts -m- Isabella Thornton Kendrick - former student at Hogwarts - Slytherin House, Also works for the MoM Library - No Children as of yet. Cousin: Callidora Kendrick, 2nd Year Gryffindor. Cousin: Vera Kendrick - University Student at Hogwarts - Slytherin House. Maternal Great Grandfather: Lucian Rigellus Kendrick - Pure blooded; Death Eater - perished 1st Wizarding War, Slytherin, parent to Helena Isolde Kendrick, and Heather Kendrick Jeffries. Maternal Great-Grandmother: Aurora Gwendolyn Jefferies - Pureblooded, Voldemort sympathiser, Slytherin; parent to Helena Isolde Kendrick, and Heather Kendrick Jeffries. Eldest Brother: Corwyn Phillip Llewellyn - 28 years, 'graduate' magical studies in Advanced Potion Work and a Mediwizard at Mungo's Hospital - he is considered something of a disappointment to his mother due his complete disdain of magical combat, and admitted lack of interest, though not skill, in duelling. It is impossible for his mother to imagine that the career of a Healer would have any use - despite her own need to occasionally employ such magic. Corwyn strongly dislikes the fact that his parents seem to push their aspirations on his younger sister. A softer sort and loyal to a fault to those that show true bravery and kindness, Corwyn ended up sorted into Gryffindor. His mother has no understanding how it is she gave birth to such a child. While he is certainly not a blood traitor - he seems to think other than muggles - that at the least, those of half-blood status deserve their birthrights entirely. Younger Brother: Hamilton Orion Llewellyn - 25 years, 'graduate' magical studies in Wand Making, hoping for an apprenticeship with Ollivander. The male Llewellyn line - though centuries ago - often found their work in wand making, so this is something of a note of pride to Corvus, the Llewellyn children's father. Hamilton was sorted likewise into Gryffindor like his elder brother; their parents consider it something of a blemish. Hamilton has little to no interest in the debate between whom has what blood. He just wants to be left alone with his studies. Astraea both loves and considers her family of birth occasionally as something of a burden, and sometimes wishes she were far more ordinary - at least - if not for the wealth and luxury she's grown up in and has been accustomed to her entire life. She has many, many cousins of which there books and books recording their various offspring and ancestors. |
