Appearance

5'8, medium length brown hair, toned and lean body with just the right amount curves. How she is dressed depends entirely on her occupation of the moment. If she is bartending, she is most likely to wear skinny jeans and a sexy blouse; something revealing enough to catch the attention of patrons, but subtle enough so it doesn’t encourage them too much. She wears her hair down in supple waves, and only a touch of makeup. Whenever she isn’t working, she will favor comfortable, relaxed clothes. She rarely ever wears a skirt.

Personality

Alex is a very outgoing person. She likes being around people and has great listening skills. Bartending was just a job she did until she found something better, but then her interaction with all these people made her stay. She enjoys a good laugh, though she usually isn’t the one to make jokes. She loves teasing people she knows, or flirt for fun. She doesn’t do drugs, but doesn’t mind getting wasted on beer or something stronger once in a while. She is a very loyal friend, who will help if she can, but she is aware that her fate can be dangerous to those who stick around her.

Alex can be very sarcastic when annoyed, but she tries to refrain from using it otherwise. She is not one to let herself be led by her fear. If anything, her fear will only make her more willing, or angrier. With her martial arts training, Alex is very disciplined. She gets very focused on the job at hand, especially if lives are at stake. Alex is at peace with what she is and what she can do.

History

She lived a very normal childhood, in an average income home and both her parents, or so it seemed. It wasn’t perfect, it was normal. She lived through school without putting much effort into it and still get decent grades. She had a few friends and rarely ever found herself alone. Alex already had one passion: martial arts. Not just Karate or Kung Fu, but all sorts. She gave a try at kickboxing, Jujitsu, and others that she didn’t like as much. Her teenage years didn’t differ much. She was a popular cheerleader going out with a prominent player of the local team. He wasn’t the quarterback though; the guy’s ego was so large it was a surprise that there was enough space left for the rest of the team on the field. Her first transformation happened at home, luckily, with both of her parents giving their support through it all.

After high school, not being the college type, Alex worked at the local bar. She loved bartending; she could talk to all sorts of people. It was a fairly large town, after all, but the bar had its couple of regulars. After a big anniversary party Alex offered her ex-boyfriend, the football player with whom she had remained an awkward friend, a drive home. She had had only one drink hours ago and was in shape to drive. He definitely wasn’t. Things didn’t go well, however. Distracted by the man’s lack of self-control, her eyes left the road for a few seconds. She left her lane and went face to face with another car.

Alex only had a couple of scratches, but he was unconscious and bleeding. She managed to get out of the car by pushing against her door with all her might. She realized only later that she shouldn’t have been able to, that she would have some explaining to do to the authorities but she couldn't do that. The car’s frame had been twisted in such a way… Wrecked with guilt over the accident, Alex continued her day to day routine more like a robot, until the nightmares began. It obsessed her so much that she finally packed her things and moved away to New York City. She had to move away from the town that had seen her grow up.

It was a nice, but lonely life until she met Vincent. It was an accident, but completely worth it. He was hunting, she was just gone hunting herself and had reverted to her human form. Her skin was covered with blood and he tackled her, scratching her shoulder. She still bears very faint marks on her shoulder as if the years old scars rather than a year old. Even though they were opposites in so many ways, they were also a good match and quickly moved together, away from the big city, in a completely different state.
