Alexandra Petronac (b. 1983) is a Criminal who specializes in burglaries under the alias Shadow. She is a born resident of Burden City and when not committing crimes she works as an art museum curator.
Biography
Alex was born to her two wealthy parents, the influential Petronacs, and was living a comfy existence with them until at the age of 17. Her parents had moved overseas in order to help her mother's career in specialized surgery, and were murdered for reasons unknown until to this day. This affected Alex deeply as she lost two loving parents and became an orphan in less than a night. Though grieving for the loss of her parents, Alex kept appearance cleaned and finished high school after her aging aunt moved to the U.S to the raise the young girl. While she was studying in school, she looked for an alternative identity in the criminal underground. She explored the shadows of the city and looked around, but didn't commit her very first real crime when she was 21.
A a company had stopped her attempts to start a gallery at a perfect location because the gallery space was on the ground floor of what they pictured as their new office headquarters. In retaliation, she sneaked in, cut every painting she could find out of their frames and left without a trace. Receiving a rush she hadn't felt in her entire life, Alex repeated it several times and slowly began developing and perfecting her methods. She has now gained a reputation in the criminal underworld, mostly for the fact the items - expensive and rare - she steals never resurface in the black market. Nor has there been any signs of the items being sold at all. It is unknown on what she does with them or what happens after she steals the items or why she even steals, since she just does it for the process and not the result. A reason more criminals in Burden City do not have.
She is still in Burden City, working as a museum curator and using her criminal identity Shadow in order to seek the thrills she couldn't feel in her other life. She has just pulled a very publicized crime on a cooperate executive, and has now garnered the interest of the Crime Lord...
Physical Appearance
Alex is a gorgeous woman whose looks are often compared to that of a supermodel or a starlet. She has layered, dark brown hair that passes half-way her shoulder blades and she has warm brown eyes. She has a fair skin complexion with a subtle tan in it, having a tattoo of a black panther crawling up her shoulder blades. She is 5 feet and 6 inches tall, weighing at 135 pounds.
Personality
Alex is a lively young woman, who enjoys the finer things in life due to her classy upbringing and lifestyle. She is cultured and educated, a woman who is able to balance both her brain and her heart. She is energetic and spontaneous, always on the go and looking for that next marvelous rush to her. She is also quick to change her mind if she wishes to do so, depending on how she views the situation with both her emotions and her intelligence. She has no issues with changing a plan and is quite flexible, ready for any changes or sudden turn of events. She has the rare ability to keep both her criminal life and her normal life far away from each other, and doing so without an ill thought or sense of fatigue. She enjoys her criminal life because of the sense of thrill and excitement it gives to her, livening up her mundane but ritzy lifestyle.
She is warm, flirty and friendly whenever she meets someone, new or old, and has a confidence that radiates of her. Her confidence in herself, however, is one of her biggest flaws in her personality. She is a talented woman and knows this, and will not hesitate to ask of you what she wants in a blunt and honest manner. She is a nice person but she is even nicer to you if you do what she says, since she is a leader than a follower. As an independent and strong woman, she likes to surround herself with people that are as confident and dominant as her. She hates to see or hear herself beg or anyone else of that matter, and does not tolerate anyone expecting her to be submissive in regards of her personal life.
Alex, in her odd sense of 'charity', might take a submissive woman under her wing in order to 'teach' them the finer pleasures of being in control. She can tolerate them better than a submissive man. She also does not go out of her way to publicly humiliate her targets whoever they maybe, since she feels like the score she has taken from them is enough. But if she feels like they deserve it, like cheating on their wives or clientele, she will not be afraid to dish out her own type of vigilante justice. She is a firm believer of second chances, but she believes in it literally as one can get. If you wrong her, she'll give you another chance. If you wrong her again... well, she may not be a violent person but she can get nasty if she wishes to become nasty.

- She'll idyll play - as in twirling, fingering, rolling it in her fingers - with any pencil-like object when in deep thought.
- She chose the alias 'Shadow' when a newspaper titled one of her exploits as "Company Presidents Afraid of Their Shadow" and she felt like there was a certain ring to it.
- She wears a stylized black mask when out on her 'trips', in order to keep her identity safe.
- Her parent's killer has of yet to be found, leaving Amelia with a scar that hasn't fully been healed.
