Medieval SciFi Romance

So, I was thinking, a story that involves Medieval/Sci-Fi/and a Romance. Something like, there is an alien planet that has somehow stayed in a MiddleAge period. A young man ends up here and decides to be the champion fighter, only one thing the princess has feelings for him, and tries to stop him at any turn. This is just an idea.
